It's been a while, so I figured it was about time I did that thing where I throw a few of my new musical creations at you and get them out there + some feedback. I'm always looking to improve and love sharing what I've made with anyone I can. I have five for you today and they're all video game soundtrack-type pieces.
So, let's hop to it:
This one came out of me tonight and is a very upbeat, hyper, and fun piece. I tried to include a lot of interesting elements and variations. I'm pretty happy with almost all of the transitions and feel they work at least decently together with the mood.
---
This is a very old-school-vibey dungeon track with a pinch of modern to it. I'm a fan of a lot of 8-bit-type music (if you couldn't already tell) and wanted to put down something that I felt was fitting to the period, but worthy of that memorable can't-get-the-melody-out-of-my-head characteristic that so many soundtracks of games had back then.
---
Another up-beat one that would be more along the lines of a main theme kind of deal, I suppose. It's a mixture of modern dance and classic game music, in a sense, with old-school elements heavily incorporated into it to give a unique sound.
--
Cute! From time to time, I really enjoy making softer tracks that I would, yes, call cute. I really liked how this one turned out. It's very simple, using less-modern sounds, and is designed to be a looping background piece, perhaps to a cute bonding scene or just a level in a children's game.
--
And, finally, this modern piece. It's meant to give a very relaxing/airy vibe (hence the name) and incorporates instruments I don't use too often, like the music box instrument of the main melody. I really like how this one turned out.

Feel free to give whichever, if any, a listen and I'd love to hear your reactions, thoughts, or anything else you feel compelled to share. Thank you and have a nice weekend! :D
1. I didn't like this cuz I don't like trance. 1/5 2. zelda castlevania, decent 3/5 3. megaman, I dig it, but it could use another melody. The loop gets old fast. 4/5 4. Would have liked it better if the low bass/xylophone? was in a different instrument. It's a cute song so the 'hard' beats don't really fit in there imo. 2/5 5. I don't the combination of instruments and the melody sample is decent but a bit short. 2/5
I enjoyed the 4 gametype songs. Especially the last 3. Imagine reminded me of Sonic games I played as a kid, could see it playing in the background of a level while racing around.
Just the Two of Us felt like something I might hear in Secret of Mana or Chrono Trigger, although I agree with Peaano, the xylophone felt a bit sharp, as if it was being hit a bit too hard. Although you may have intentionally put that there I don't know =P Chrono Trigger did a bit of that using harsh sounds in soft situations.
Soaring sounds great too, would feel natural and enjoyable if I came across it while playing a game.
Keep composing, maybe you can end up the next Anamanaguchi!
