StarCraft 2 Background-
Coming into the new year, No Dice Gaming decided to start building a StarCraft team. Trying to find a SC2 division manager proved to be a little difficult, but eventually was able to find MediKing, who knows the amature scene quite well and has an established connection amongst up and coming talents.
The team was to be created off of a critical 5 requirements as follows;
Character:+ Show Spoiler +
We felt that character was a huge importance for our roster, as we wanted to be able to build a well respected team that was grown much as a family. It was key that everyone on the team got along well and were able to build strong relationships and friendships. We knew that if we couldn't just get good players. They needed to be the right players, with the right attitude.
Skill: + Show Spoiler +
This was obviously a very important factor in creating a team we wanted to be able to compete both individually and as a team. We needed to make sure that our players were all skilled players that would be able to compete at a strong level together.
Dedication:+ Show Spoiler +
Skill is not everything in a player of course. We don't want players who are "happy" at the level they are currently, or content with where they are competing at, we want players who are dedicated on improvement. We want players who want to thrive in their environment and work to not only always be improving themselves, but improving the team around them.
Desire:+ Show Spoiler +
This trait is very important to us as an organization when picking our roster. Players can be as talented as can be, or work as hard as they can to be the best, but in order to accomplish this feat, they need desire. Our players have the desire needed to truly be the best. They have the desire to win events, and the desire to improve and rise to the top with their team.
Trust:+ Show Spoiler +
The most important of all in my mind. We needed to make sure we can trust the players we pick up on our roster. What good is a player if they don't show-up to an event? Or if a player comes for a week stay? We needed to ensure that our players were happy with No Dice Gaming, and committed to making this team the best it can be in the long haul.
