Having read the article with mediocre fluency in Korean, here's what I got off. If anyone has a better translation, I have no qualms about this being deleted or closed. ====
It seems Marineking is returning to SC2 from LoL
According to e-sports officials, he has temporarily stopped practicing LoL and started to practice SC2 in order to qualify into the SC2 Pro League 2. Recently he has been ranked 18th in Grandmasters, more than enough to enter the qualifiers for Pro League. He is also steadily increasing his streaming time as well (he was already streaming SC2?).
An e-sports commentator has said that from observing MarineKing's practice, his unit control hasn't changed much since he switched to LoL. The same commentator believes his return to SC2 and into Pro League would greatly benefit the latter as well.
In last year of October, Marineking switched to LoL and was recruited as a backup for Prime's team . However, since then, he hasn't played in any of the broadcast events for the team. He will be the 4th player to return to SC2 from LoL following sC, Puzzle, CoCa.
According to an official from Prime: "If MarineKing returns to (Prime), it'll be a a boost to the team, but no decisions have been made"
===
Hopefully this gives you some idea of what the article is saying. The only part I didn't get to go over is the 5th paragraph which is talking about the situation the team Prime is in and what could happen if MarineKing does come back to their SC2 team again.

PRIME GOING TO WIN PROLEAGUE

Bad timing. Terran not doing good.
Good news tho
|
maybe SKT will keep him around for sc2 incase they buff terran.
|
Maru's MIA, TvT doesn't exist as a concept, bio has never been weaker, and Terrans have no aggressive openings vs. P in general.
Oh, MKP, MKP, MKP...
|
saw him on stream today playing mech ;;;; so he's playing for prime right? nothing has changed?
|
He got recruited to the skt LoL team? I thought he was just playing in Prime's team.
|
wait so will he be on prime or SKT?
|
I'd not say I'm surprised. People like MarineKing and the previous ones that returned are all for the money. I'm not saying it's exactly bad but it doesn't help their dignity either. Maybe I'm just conservative, heh.

Is MKP gonna be Terran Jesus, back from the grave to save us all?
probably not but at least opterown is gonna be happy about this

Pretty massive surprise, I for one didn't see it happening.
|
Hope that this is real! Will he stay with SKT, go back to prime or be drafted into some Kespa team?
I hope he goes back to Prime! SKTMK sounds less audible than the ever so legendary MKP!
At least this is great news, hope he can come back to his peak and get more second places in GSL! Even though, with his break, I think it will take him some time to come back to a very good level!
|
Not much of an MKP fan myself, but damn if he isn't fun to watch. It's always great to have anyone with skill return! Maybe some distance will make MKP realize that he can't just do the same BO every game. If he smartens up, he could be amazing since he has some fantastic micro at times.
Strange that he didn't decide a few weeks ago so he could have tried to qualify for the GSL. I wonder what changed in the last few weeks...

MKP has done nothing in LoL, and his SC2 skills are out of a slump, as evinced by his top 18 GM position. Even if he cared about winning more than money, returning to SC2 is still a good decision.

Marineking! Noice noice. Looking forward to his play. I love his last man standing, fight tooth and nail attitude!

A pro-gamer's dignity lies in the beauty of the play. Aside from over-the-top BM, the game is all I care about. If MKP produces good results, what does it matter to anybody why he returned?

Zombie terran jesus back to save us with that bio.
|
Will be overjoyed to have MKP back, I only hope he comes back with more then 2 rax and 3 CC builds, his predictability was always his downfall when he had potential for great things.

Yup, I got spoilered by Apollo's stream a week or so ago so I already knew this.
