Shouldn't it... take longer for him to get good? It's not as though LoL just came out last year, he's seriously behind people who have been doing it professionally for years.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that MKP's back, but isn't it too early to have expected results from him?

They'd certainly be better, though you have to think back to GSTL 2013 S1 and recall that a MKP/Maru/ByuN/Creator lineup got stomped by practically every team (including NSH). Though to be fair, this is before Maru had his huge breakout during OSL, and Creator looked kind of helpless around the start of HotS; much worse than he does now in SPL.

What always confuses me is why did Prime never sign any players to replace Maru when he left? There's no shortage of strong teamless players out there, from KangHo to Oz/aLive/Revival... any one of those players would instantly be #1 or #2 on Prime. I guess the obvious answer is no money but if you don't have the money to afford anything better than Creator and a bunch of rookies... I don't know.

It does seem like Prime's always preferred to develop talent internally than to sign established players. ByuN is pretty much the only signing of an already-established player I can think of in Prime's history.

If you look at the top tier terran players, there was only Innovation and Flash ("top tier") in code A. Maru didn't need to qualify and everyone else seems to be in wcs AM (lol).
