This is the plan until Worlds. So just like last year + challenger series & collegiate tournament. Only decent international tournament between now and Worlds S4 is the IEM WC.

Chances are that we will see international action there.

Sure, but you can provide weekly content in a stable professional setting without also excluding those 16 pro teams from international tournaments.

Right, but at a certain point it devalues your league. The outlay RIOT puts into the LCS is actually absurd. They've built 2 studios (in NA and EU). They pay a reasonable salary to 16 pro teams. They pay travel expenses. They help pay for teamhouses. They have a team of casters, producers, etc etc that work on the LCS. And then people just say 'yeah that's great that you've invested several million dollars into creating a sustainable league, but can't we have international tournaments too?' It's insane, it's entitled. I'd love to have international tournaments, but I respect that the people putting the money into the system get to decide whether or not they feel international tournaments are a worthwhile investment. And there has been international tournaments Battle of the Atlantic was kinda blah, but there was IEM Cologne and there is going to be IEM Sao Paolo and then the IEM World Championships - RIOT could have easily said 'no IEM tournaments whatsoever, but they didn't. I mean, how many organizations are going to run international tournaments besides RIOT? MLG? Maybe. Red Bull? possible I suppose.

1. Impaler has been transferred to SHC, he's pretty much going to be their jungler from here on out 2. The rest of the Dignitas UK roster has decided to disband 3. Dignitas are looking for a new challenger team
