I had signed up on Jan 2nd which was a couple days ago. But then something funny happened when I tried to check what time the qualifier started. I couldn't view the tourney coz it was "private". I thought no big deal, I was able to sign up so I'm sure it's just a little error that everyone is getting. I found when the time started by looking at the other 3 qualifiers (I signed up for all of those as well).
2:30PM EST comes around and the tourney is about to start. The admin (only a single admin here) says that if our opponents are here, we can start playing early. I eagerly try to check the braquet. Nothing. I ask for a link. I get one. I open the page up and it says it's private. Around this time I start to see some people were having a similar problem.
Well, nothing could be done. The admin said if you weren't in the bracket, that was that. So here ends my first qualifier run, knocked out before the first round not because i wasn't good enough, not because I didn't break any rules, not because of any reasons that I could have foreseen except that something happened on NASL's side and they screwed a bunch of people out of the first qualifier.
I didn't think NASL + WCS AM partnership could reach new lows. They did. Hats off and a salute to them contributing to help grow the AM scene and personally how they helped me start off my new year.
