I don't think I ever want to have kids, but it must be the best feeling in the world. Congrats on the first month of being a dad, hope you've been getting enough sleep, I know it can be hard Edit: You ninja fixed your links. Damn you.

Why not? I always wanted to have a kid but one is enough for now :D A couple of reasons, but it mostly boils down to the fact that I don't really like kids and that I just don't want the responsibility of a kid. I'm still pretty young so I have a lot of time before it even comes to that point, but I just really don't think that I would want to have the responsibilities of having a kid and pass on my genes. It's a good thing that most people don't feel like I do, otherwise the human race would die off though

Is there anything in particular that you were completely caught off guard for, as a new father?

So far so good, nothing that caught me off guard has not happened yet. Of course if we do not count me being pissed several times by my little boy.

only one advice to young parents: sleep when they sleep sleep is a unique commodity, it provides rest and conserves sanity .. and luckily you can stockpile it somewhat in advance as for the rest, euhhh.. i can only give my 2 cents the day my first was born it felt like i "took off" (mars or burst type rocket style) looking back, the whole pregnancy thing seemed like a haze of preparations, anx and anticipation so the delivery was a real liberation and the year that followed seemed like a roller coster that never ends and changing every thing for ever more than 6 years in and a second rocket launch 10 months ago i still haven't landed or see anything remotely looking like a landing space good luck, love is the only essential for this journey the rest is open bar thanks for making kids
