So I'm not a nice person I'd say, more like I'm rather annoyed all the time, and it comes off as if I hated everyone, which might be true to be honest. But today after school, I went to city center to check my money so I could budget my Christmas shopping for my friends and family, but I got stopped by a homeless guy. He asks me if I'm Arab, and I tell him I'm Spanish, and he starts telling me about his family in Barcelona and how he misses them, and he shares a few words about his life in Spanish, but I replied to him in English. And then he starts tearing up about how he can't see his family cause he got scammed or something, ( he's Arab, so his English is very broken, but very good compared to the kind of English foreign people speak here ), so I couldn't make out much except the bit about his family in Calgary and his parents in Barcelona, He asks me, " do you have any money so I can eat?" and I didn't understand it at first, he spoke very quietly, obviously ashamed, "Sorry?" "Do you have any money so I can eat?" He replies even more ashamed. So like I said, I'm not a nice guy, but I took this guy to the food court and we ate some Japanese food, and I did not buy his story at all, and when I gave him 20$ after we ate ( 40$ in total ), he started tearing up and he kept repeating every 20 seconds, "I can pay you back, just give me your phone number" I don't know if he's gonna pay be back I don't want him to I don't care if he's lying to me or not He did need to eat. I'm not nice, and this wasn't a "nice" thing to do, I probably won't tell anyone ( which is why this is my first blog) "oh, yeah I fed this guy one day, with my own cash" If you have excess money, and you're not getting anything, what's stopping you from giving? I was going to get another 760, and a new strat, and gifts, But did I really need all of that at the time? Aren't we all just living a little bit too excessively? I know socialism isn't very looked up to in the west, but I think things are getting pretty screwy with the way rich people own a lot of the money created and distributed in capitalist countries. and I know there's not much I can do, but give. It doesn't take someone nice to figure out how screwed up things are in society.
my first blog no hate appreciate

what did this "homeless" guy look like?
edit: a simple way of revealing if this guy is infact a bum or hes truth telling is
Does he have a beard (how much facial hair indicates the last time he used a razor, a homeless man does not use a razor)
what kind of clothes was he dressed in? (If they are ragged and mismatched looking, chances are he's been wearing them for a long time. If they look like they are in relatively good shape, chances are they are treated for with washing and laundry machines.)
Look at his teeth? Does it look like he brushes every day? Do you think he visits a dentist (missing teeth, cracked teeth, dirty mouth indicates no dental treatment within 1-2 years at the minimum

I like your thought process, sometimes there can be injustice even in western societies. Btw, you may not be a "nice" guy, but after I reading this you come off as a rather good guy, and that is what really matters

He had a beard, and he had a really old backpack, he packed the food I gave him after he ate half of it. He was dressed in a leather jacket and I think jeans, they weren't new or branded, no teeth, he can't be living >2years here in Edmonton cause it's cold as hell, he has to probably move south or take shelter in apartment buildings to survive

Like I said, I didn't really believe him, but if he was hungry, then the story doesn't really matter.
