SPONSORSHIP INCREASE - The prizepool has now been raised to 14 BTC
Official undercard match announced. Destiny vs Incontrol in a BO3 for 1BTC
In 2013, foreign players have battled bravely against the onslaught of Korean competition in Starcraft 2. Most fell without much resistance but a few stood their ground and proved that you didn't need a Korean teamhouse to win games. Foremost amongst those players were the Canadian Zerg Scarlett and the Swedish Protoss NaNiwa. Strangely, these players have not played against each other in competition in Heart of the Swarm at all, their last encounter was during Wings of Liberty, a result now considered irrelevant. Finally these players will face each other to claim both bragging rights as the dominant foreign player in Starcraft 2 and a huge prize.

The biggest showmatch in Starcraft 2 history
It doesn't get much bigger than this. The prize for this tournament is 14 BTC, which at the time of writing exchanges for over $10,000. This would be a large prizepool for your average tournament but it is the largest prizepool for a single showmatch in Starcraft 2 history. This prizepool has been provided by bitcoin enthusiasts and companies who wish to represent and promote the growth of the cryptocurrency.
