Low turnover rate on NA means you get a lot of overrated talent that sticks around for a long time and overall slow rate of growth because not enough talented players are getting pro team experience. LCS exacerbates this because it puts an artificial barrier between amateur and professional teams meaning fresh talent doesn't get exposure to playing against the best in a competitive setting. It's a matter of removing overrated talent, not so much forcing new talent. different point of view I suppose. But, I agree completely with LCS exacerbating the problem between amateur and professional teams. On December 11 2013 08:30 cLutZ wrote: Korea doesn't replace party willy nilly. Except Ozone before worlds. That was bonkers. They do add key parts to teams from seemingly no where, they're just much better scouting new talent and developing them.

How many amateur teams really play with pro teams in KR? I don't think there's any more interaction between top 5-8 in OGN and the amateurs in NLB than the LCS relegation teams in NACL and other tournaments that are going on now.

The only chance that any amateur team on NA has of playing an LCS team is relegation vs bottom 3 teams.

1) Tier 1 team forms a B-team in order to develop new talent/practice partners for successful A-team 2) Experienced player that was cut from a tier 1 team forms new roster with fresh talent Both methods of forming a team give said team high initial exposure and a lot of opportunities for new pros to develop rapidly amongst established talent (either under the guidance of the experienced pro, or against their sister team). Method 1 is difficult to sell under the LCS system because your B-team only gets to participate in amateur tournaments and cannot become an LCS team without splitting from your organization. Method 2 doesn't happen without high enough turnover among established pros in top-tier teams.

increasing the visibility of the EU LCS for North American players. 10 AM PST / 7 AM EST on Thursday/Friday for NA. Yeah, that's really visible.
