I think the opportunity to go hang with CLG for a 3 day weekend is really cool. $1k is way over-priced though, especially considering your travel isn't included. I'd consider it for maybe half that. But yeah, they could all be streaming and just make butt-tons. Why did they sign with Azubu? Did twitch not want them/vice-versa? What? 1k is super cheap for the experience. Just stay and food alone is 300 dollar expense, for 2 nights 3 days. 700 for the time to hang out with pros? cheap, totes worth.|
also, new solomid stream layout is super fcking nice. i hope they keep it.

Did twitch not want them/vice-versa? when you consider that food, activities (diamond bar is pretty close to laser tag!!! and who else knows what kelby has planned), probably tons of swag (i would be really surprised if participants left with anything less than a full clg wardrobe), individualized lessons, and a nice roof over your head (diamond bar is a nice neighborhood), the price is definitely not outrageous. the players might make a little bit off of this (less than they would have through streaming, no doubt though), but my guess is that CLG as an organization will probably gain no money out of this at best, and likely lose a bit of cash like, to a starving college student or a high school kid with no job, this is no doubt out of your price range. but for someone with basically any sort of job that wants to spend a little disposable income and support their favorite org, this is an extremely inexpensive (and super awesome) vacation
right, I'm more speaking from my point of view - have some money, but not willing to spend that large a percentage of my current savings on such an experience
I'm sure people will spend the money, and awesome for them, I'm sure it will be tons of fun. But I wouldn't spend that much, probably even if it was a significantly smaller portion of my savings.

I think Lucian is in a decent spot, I really wish getting the reset on his E was more reliable/helpful. YOu can only reset it by getting a kill with your ult, yet seems the best time to use his ult is when he is out of range to AA, but if you are that far out of range why do you need your dash refreshed? To go back in? That whole synergy feels awkward to me, but the rest of his kit is sweet and feels so good when executed correctly.

Tbh he's already pretty damn mobile on the whole, I think what monte suggested once which is make his W able to be fired on the move would be better. I think resetting his E on non ult kills might be a bit too much and result in a mid game penta kill machine when his tri finishes.

To be fair, if you do happen to get that reset, you literally feel like Neo.

Lucian's ult is so badass, his entire kit is badass they just pretty much made an action hero into an ADC. Even when I considered him trash at release I still picked him up just because he looked so cool.

my only beef with lucian is I want the W speed buff from hitting the W, but he doesn't appear to need any love so it's not goin to happen.

Riven is and has always be an AoE Assassin-bruiser-lane bully-late game carry.

Worth is in the eyes of the beholder If you think you have money, but not that much, then you don't actually have money ^^. The deal isn't there for everybody, but just for a small segment of group. You and I are clearly not in that group, but people blow $1000 for road trip or casino or stuff on one particular weekend all the time, and that's fine.
If they do CLC Tourcamp in various cities across America, then more people are gonna like it. Right now unless you live near the camp, it doesn't make sense to fly all the way there to attend.

I swear there was a movie that wasn't the matrix where he did this.

I have no interest in it, and I don't think it's silly to feel like it's overpriced if it isn't your cup of team, but the people browbeating Kelby trying to make him feel like a bad person for it really grind my gears.

Honestly though, I cant see why people are trying to attack CLG for being money-grubbing. God forbid they offer an awesome time that's completely optional, but doesn't take away from the fact they don't really gain any money from this. I don't even like anyone that's not Doublelift on that team, and even I can see it's kinda awesome. Sheesh.

Please, those fantasy camps for retired pro sports players are by far wayyy more expensive.
