Then he had some bad losses and started to dread playing TvP in live matches and it all fell apart from there.

EDIT: Just read the 3rax guide. As others have said, it looks really dirty (and effective!)

Maybe it's because most of my Light TvP viewings happen against Stork/Jangbi, so it might be a little skewed, but I find that his style is way too passive. He doesn't seem to pressure the protoss well and limit expansions. So he inevitably get crushed by simple numbers when he push out, or get into that bad cycle of dealing with recall after recall. To be fair, Flash and Fantasy are probably the only terrans who truly accomplish this at a high level. But Light seems to be particularly passive to me.

I wouldbt figure fantasy for a passive player, especially since hes trying to do run bys all game long as soon as hes got at least 1 vulture haha.

I wouldbt figure fantasy for a passive player, especially since hes trying to do run bys all game long as soon as hes got at least 1 vulture haha. Fantasy is the archetype of being passive-aggressive in stance in TvP; he certainly favors locking down map control over what he deems as important sectors for his economy and army, but he throws out limited but effective unit groups (thus the emphasis on economic damage and area denial with Vults) to prevent him from getting steamrolled and weaken map presence at the same time. This is why he has poor defense over very early aggression, because it comes at a time before he can consolidate his map presence is fully established in the core areas for his economy and army. Light in contrast is purely defensive, relying on taking map control through methodical pushes, which is weak against the Stork/Jangbi playstyle of relying on mobility and targeting vulnerable points. Conversely, it is vulnerable to mass macro ala horang2/BeSt, which overwhelms it with sheer force.
