Edit - hope the op doesn't mind but I tried translating the October 13th blog post: edit edit - oh man this is super long idk I kinda gave up... sorry guys. + Show Spoiler + Hello? It's me. This time I'll let you know how to do 2 rax into 1fac 1port for TvT. So let's get started! (This time, the match I'm showing you was an actual ladder game I played) ![]() I spawned as green at 1. ![]() My ladder opponent spawned as red at 11. ![]() First, after the the initial supply depot is finished I scout with the same SCV but specifically go through the center of the map on the way to check my opponent's main in order to make sure I'm not playing against a proxy rax or 8 rax. ![]() I start my barracks at 13 supply. ![]() My ladder opponent chose to go 12 rax 12 gas. ![]() At 15, I start the second CC in my natural. ![]() When scouting in this kind of matchup, you must take care to only lightly go up the hill in order to verify whether or not there's a Marine at the top of the ramp waiting for your SCV. It's important to do this in order to verify whether or not you're up against double rax. If both of you are doing double rax, you can omit making a Bunker. ![]() At 16 I make my gas and hold off on the second supply depot until after my extra Marine(s), all of which I hide behind my bunker. (If you are able to scout your opponent quickly and early, you can just make only 1 Marine at 15 and then gas+supply at 16) Even when doing double rax, about the 2nd supply depot->gas thing: it's okay to diverge and go depot-gas-depot instead of depot-depot-gas. As for depot-depot-gas, maybe you can be more economical by making the Bunker earlier? Your tech would be a little bit slower, though... ![]() Wow, the opponent is going 2fact. ![]() And here's my opponent making the subsequent Starport. ![]() While I build my Factory, I spend the extra money that I find myself having on an Academy. (I only have 2 Marines at this point) ![]() And once my Factory is done, I hide a Starport in the corner of my main. ![]() Is my opponent also varying his build? (It looks like we have a Wraith Cloaking race here) ![]() ... But because my scan will be available shortly, I can deal with my opponent's aggression and ward him off. ![]() I use two scans on the enemy base to see what I'm up against. With one of my two scans, I see this Factory and I notice with one of them that he has purposefully scattered his tech buildings (i.e. his Factory is far away in a corner of his main). It's important to scatter your scans and never really scan the same place twice. If you ask me why this is important, the fact that I scanned his single Factory makes me think that he's going straight to Starport. And also alternatively it could also be a sign of a 3 Factory build with some combination tank, vulture, and goliath. This is the way that you must think and cope with the information you find in your scans. --- sigh this is pretty long so I kinda gave up.. sorry guys.

One day when he learns of that, he will rush to the church where she is going to marry the guy. He barely makes it in time, confesses to her and they run away from the marriage together. Happy ending. P/S: Yeah I have nothing to do... at work.

Maybe it's because most of my Light TvP viewings happen against Stork/Jangbi, so it might be a little skewed, but I find that his style is way too passive. He doesn't seem to pressure the protoss well and limit expansions. So he inevitably get crushed by simple numbers when he push out, or get into that bad cycle of dealing with recall after recall. To be fair, Flash and Fantasy are probably the only terrans who truly accomplish this at a high level. But Light seems to be particularly passive to me.

I wouldbt figure fantasy for a passive player, especially since hes trying to do run bys all game long as soon as hes got at least 1 vulture haha.

Fantasy is the archetype of being passive-aggressive in stance in TvP; he certainly favors locking down map control over what he deems as important sectors for his economy and army, but he throws out limited but effective unit groups (thus the emphasis on economic damage and area denial with Vults) to prevent him from getting steamrolled and weaken map presence at the same time. This is why he has poor defense over very early aggression, because it comes at a time before he can consolidate his map presence is fully established in the core areas for his economy and army. Light in contrast is purely defensive, relying on taking map control through methodical pushes, which is weak against the Stork/Jangbi playstyle of relying on mobility and targeting vulnerable points. Conversely, it is vulnerable to mass macro ala horang2/BeSt, which overwhelms it with sheer force.
