So. I'm at my parents place and preparing birthday dinner for them. I go on TL and see that the GSL Finals are about to start. Liquidpedia tells me that it's a PvZ and I go "Ah shiet, I guess it will be a 0-4 or 4-0". Anyway I decided to give it a shot.
It turned out that I had problem turning away my attention and the last preparations for the dinner were hard to close up. Now afterwards I feel like I really enjoyed this finals. Even though I havn't really had the time to follow this season of WCS Korea.
The audience were awesome. The prize cermony did not include the player not being able to lift the trophy (lol). My heart almost broke when I saw Dears father lift him up in the air. I think that Tastetosis did a good job as usual and the wrap up excellent.
What I want to say is that. Even though there is so much whine about everything today around SC2 I had no problem to enjoy the GSL finals in a relaxed environment. I think it's all about the mental aspect. I'm so glad that the game is still around and fills me up with a sweet feeling everytme I tune in to a tournament.
I look forward to see what Blizzard has in mind for it the next year. Without a doubt they have gathered the feedback and we all just have to see how it will unfold. Give the games your love and support. If the passion is not there, then maybe it's time to move on.
Better return to that cheesecake now so we got some desert for tonight!
