Currently playing both right now and I am wondering if anyone else is doing the same and finding that it is negatively affecting one or the other. I like both games but the ladder keeps me coming back to League since Dota games feel essentially pointless so playing a game with a Ladder gives me a sense of accomplishment in gaming.
Which one do you spend more time on? Why haven't you switched over to one completely? Are current trends in either game making you lean towards one specifically? Do you plan to switch to one completely at any point?
Note, I have no interest in starting an argument about which is the better game, this post is entirely about personal opinions. Better is an opinion and both games clearly are enjoyed by many people.

I didn't know you could play more than one game. I thought you had to "switch" to a new game, and then that's it.

DotA main, just started playing LoL off-hand to know what the game is like. Havn't managed to buy a single champion yet, though i've tried out quite a few weekly free ones.
Likes DotA better as the hero n skills just feels more diverse/multi-dimensional.

I play both
The only thing that's better about LoL is the fact they have a ladder system.
If DotA got a ladder I would never look back.

I play both, prefer dota, but play league more because a lot of my friends play it. In general I don't think playing both has had negative effects besides the general "well if I just played 1 of the games and stuck with it I'd be better at it than how good I am at either right now" idea. Plus if you commit to league over dota then you'll have more IP for runes and such, which just cost too much.
The main negative I see for myself is every time I get on dota it's harder to last hit after playing league, but then the opposite is true getting on league - I feel awesome last-hitting everything in sight. Also I really just hate the league community
overall impression: I don't see many negative affects beyond having to know twice the number of heroes and item builds.

I play dota, and i've tried picking up LoL multiple times, but not having all the champs from the start turns me off every time. None of the champs that look interesting to me are defaults. And why should I waste money or time on something that I might not end up liking? ionno

Hell yeah I have negative effects from league to dota.
My hotkey to buy items is P in leagues and every time I play it too much, I begin my games pausing in dota

I play the occasional game of league to get that IP bonus

I usually play DotA2 over LoL since I like the game better (and I want hats), but I've been playing a decent amount of LoL recently since I have a lot of friends and classmates that play it. IMO, playing with friends greatly adds to any game's experience, not to mention a bit of social bonding.

I recently asked a friend where he'd been and he said he'd been playing League. I asked him if he liked it better than dota2 and he said, "no, but it has a ladder."

Guilty as charged too. I love playing ARAM and I love Teemo. In fact, I'm in the process of making another account on Europe just to get Teemo all day in ARAM. Too much fun and watching people QQ when they get popped with the hurricane LOL.
If anyone wants in feel free to join me on Europe West under ARAM Hell.

I played League to start with coz my friends got me into it, it's quite fun but then I started playing Dota 2 last year and it just got me hooked. I just find it far more fun for some reason, the heroes, items, map and depth are just all more interesting. Going back to LoL occasionally it really does feel like it's a far more dumbed down version of Dota. I really enjoy the last hitting in LoL though coz it's so much easier. However the towers in LoL are ridiculous coz they do so much damage. It's far more fun in Dota where you can actually tower dive fairly often. I never had an issue with Dota not having a ladder because the game itself is just so much fun.

I play a lot more League than Dota because all my friends and GF only play League now. I can't even play SC2 often because my GF would be asking me to join League.
why I haven't switched completely is mostly just nostalgic to be honest. I like Dota for the vision and illusion heroes like phantom lancer. It was also the first game I actually studied guides to get better and discussed on forum etc. but as far as MOBA games go, playing with friends is the most fun way to enjoy the game.
Too noob to know trends but from what I watch, I really love the graphics of Dota 2 but the overall game feels a bit slower than League. Objectives in League also appeal to me a bit more because it is easier for me to see why are they doing X at this time.
Possibly, i am starting jobs soon so I won't have much time to play both. League will keep having new champions so I will always find it a bit more worthwhile to play (Dota cosmetic stuff is nice but the amount of time needed for one set on a hero you use is just unthinkable for me right now)

Which one do you spend more time on? - Dota, by far. League is mainly with friends and ARAMs recently. Why haven't you switched over to one completely? Friends, for the most part. I also very occasionally get the itch to play League. Are current trends in either game making you lean towards one specifically? I prefer Dota's gameplay and game design much more, but I have a lot more friends in the League of Legends proscene. Do you plan to switch to one completely at any point? I see myself going completely into Dota but never completely into LoL. Only if most of my friends change, though.

I play League because DotA's too hard for me to play casually...if I wanted to play a hard game I'd just play BW...but LoL provides a good casual social game for me to play and do pretty well at c:
