Hello Venus at Korus 2013

I went to the Hello Venus perf in Virginia, met up with KMD regular ShmeeZZy. Was quite fun, got some good pictures and had a great time.

Yoo Ara is fucking insanely good in person. Easily #2 for me now, her crowd participation, fanservice (just look at that fancam, the waving and smiling right at me nearly made me fall over), and stage presence was holy shit. She's also gorgeous as anything you can imagine in person.

Yooyoung is great. As cute or more than Ara for me, she totally lived up to my expectations in every way. Her legs and smile are no joke. Deadly cute.

Yoonjoo was amazing, talking to the crowd a bunch (in Korean, T.T), but she kept looking at the crowd and yelling "I LOVE YOU" in English, which was sick good.

Lime was very fanservice-y, throwing out hearts and smiles. Lots of fun to watch, I still dislike her new hair.

Nara was adorable as all get out and ditched her shoes half way through haha. Alice sadly didn't stand out to me, but she looked great.

They sang... 6 songs I think? Would You Like Some Tea, Venus, What Are You Doing Today, Like A Wave, Wait (which, I've never seen live, was so goooooooooooooooood), and Romantic Love. Might have done another one, my head's still spinning haha.

HV live is so good. They were on point on all of their dances, even when Yooyoung slipped... so adorable. Everything looked really crisp and smooth, even with the wind and wet stage.

They sounded great, I'm not the best judge of lip-synching vs live singing, but it sure sounded live to me (nuances in the mics and feedback and what not, especially during the raps), and no one dropped the ball. I mean, they're not the most vocally intensive group, but I was really impressed with how great they sounded.

They talked to the crowd in between each song, came to the edge of the stage despite the rain, and definitely acted cute for the cameras (you can see Ara waving to me [to meeeee] in the fancam ShmeeZZy posted). Their participation and presence was completely insanely good, 10/10 do not regret going to in the slightest would repeat.

On a personal note, this is the first blog post I think I've had that wasn't fueled by depression and self loathing! So, yay me I guess.
