Kang: We did not leave eSF in order to join KeSPA.
I bet they join KeSPA.
Eventually.
But more importantly, I hope their decisions to leave eSF really do help out the teams, the players, and the scene in the long run. I'm sure the coaches are doing what they think is best... hopefully they end up being right!

So you're saying it would be better to be in neither eSF or Kespa than be in eSF? There are no benefits?
It think MVP isn't dissolving, but being absorbed into Samsung. Why wouldn't you? MVP is a good team, has a great track record and is coming out of a "slump" as a team. It's like buying stock in a good company that's bottomed out and is on the rise again...

I'd hope and think a team of MVP's caliber and size wouldn't need to be absorbed. Prime I can understand, they've relied on 4 elite players for a very long time now.
MVP in both sc2 and LoL (from what I understand) is a very top-tier team that is also quite large. They, like IM, should look for sponsors and become a Kespa team.
summary=MVP IM Prime to join Kepsa sc2 and lol proleague most likely, MVP not disbanding. GOM going to shit. feel sorry for GOM, and very poor explanation why no GSTL participation, its obvious kespa orders, at the same time somewhat of assurance all their sc2 teams will play in Proleague. makes no sense otherwise. I think the interwiev is good, they say alot while not actually saying anything spesific at all, just pointing the finger at the moon, no surprise many just focus on the finger and miss the glorious splendor of the moon.
It would have been possible to play in the GSTL without being a part of the eSF like in the case of Axiom-Acer. Why have you decided not to participate?
Park: As I mentioned before, it's a time where we need a change, and we decided it would be difficult to participate in the GSTL right now. Revamping the team is the first priority, and we decided it would be the right decision to participate in leagues after we find stability.
Choi: As mentioned before, it's so we can have a time for change. There is no other reason.
I can't get over how ridiculously stupid this sounds
" So you left eSF and the GSTL, can you tell us why? "
" We thought it was time for a change, a change to not playing the game and not making any money. We're also totally not joining Kespa. "
Exactly my thoughts, these blank statements make me infer that some of the rumors are probably true.
give me back my true korean pro gaming yo i hope lol numbers in korea will shell the whole scene while they negate all the deconstruction that happened since WCS began
Cmon guys they didnt leave eSF for Kespa, they just left for the sake of leaving. Because that somehow solves everything.
What's so bad about joining Kespa that they have to feign ignorance? Your teams are going kaputz if you don't join the Governmant-backed Kespa, we understand, just spit it out.
So this is your "apocalypse"... So weak. I'm really disappointed. Now when KeSPA is 10 teams, Proleague will be awesome. About GSTL... It was never that big anyways. GOM ran it like some kind of promotional tournament for the most of the time.

GSTL was awesome till the point there was competition. People suddenly forgot how some players like DRG, MMA and Life were monsters in GSTL before they even got into code A? Or how about the rise of completely new teams? Mvp came out of nowhere, Slayers won twice in a row before most of the players were known. Not to mention some awesome ceremonies and antics came from there. MC being badass, bomb manner muling and proceeding to lose and much much more.
However, once proleague came in it suddenly stole the spotlight with nothing else then reputation(both from the tournament and the players). And now suddenly everyone is talking about like GSTL was never great, bah.

Yeah, this apocalypse thing is pretty weak, actually not much changed. Not one team disbanded, and still a lot of teams are struggling in the financial end. Before this weekend, I really wanted to see at least couple teams to disband, so we can start to solve things. Now, Korean scene is still a mess, without clear direction. We are still waiting for a real solution or real apocalypse, probably later one though.
GSTL is crap compared to proleague, now that the two best esf teams left to play in proleague it only makes it stronger. Don't know why they even decided to run another gstl season with 5 teams. Theres 0 prestige left in gstl, just run code s and be done with it.
