While this thread is labeled "DotA2", this is in fact a community thread first. Many of the users in the TL LoL subforum have been playing as friends for over a year now, so it makes logical sense that they would want to play other games together.
Do not compare DotA2 to LoL, you will get banned.
TL LoL veterans know what is expected. Newcomers be warned.

then they didn't draft any right click damage to speak of, this just isn't a problem I'm sorry Orange's draft was such a one trick pony. Orange isn't a one trick pony one, they are the team that have the most diverse strat in this TI3. Navi on the other hand instantlock Lifestealer+Puck every single game they can... that combo is just so silly and it doesn't even require that much teamwork.
You completely misread what he is saying. He's talking about the draft being a "one trick pony" which he isn't wrong about. They had a timing they needed to exploit and they did all the hard work to get in that position but through a chain of events they didn't seize it and lost.

I honestly don't even know if that draft can win vs. a coordinated team, they did everything they needed to do early.

Wow Alliance picks Wisp - interesting.

Trilane + CLinkz pleassssse

Hard to say. Think Navi did have all the tools they needed to win it and it was just a matter of time. I think if they hit pre bkb enigma there is a very real chance for it to win but yea no real point speculating.

Had they farmed a BKB on Bane instead of left him broke as a joke, there would have been no way for them to cancel the Fiends grip before abyssal apart from black hole.

all in kill comp for navi alliance to defend

this draft is really interesting but I still wonder what would happen if you let Funn1k 1v1 Bulldog with his Clinkz it just makes so much sense to me.
I actually really like farmed Veng, but this is alliance.

I know Yango has talked about this before, but I'm seeing a decent amount of people in the TI3 LR thread saying they are LoL players but I've never seen them in our subforum. You think they've would stop by every once in a while lol.

so NaVi didn't pick a hard carry, are they going all in on the early aggression? I assume Batrider and Venge allows for good dives and consequently easier sieging.
|
Venge with an Ahganim's is like 2000 range urgot ult on a 10 sec cd.

There's a Clockwerk in there, now I have to be for Alliance... at least this game.
Whoever picks Clockwerk wins the game my heart!

Sounds like a fair assessment. It's also the reason they banned out Keeper of the light. Alliance have almost no wave clear and with blink bat it means you can't really stay close. Still going to be hard to break high ground though since they don't have much physical damage from range. Venge is really short ranged.
It might land up where they win lots of fights but get stalled at t3s again.

I think a lot of them say they are LoL players but what they really mean is that they play a bit of LoL but then again why would you be on TL if you not hardcore gamer. Dunno man it makes no sense to me.

nope 1 bo5 series

I think this series is setting some esports records. $2 million at stake for one match. holy moly.

Alliance has this - Navi has done jack all with their early game team already. Alliance just has an answer for....whatever this comp was from Navi

I've been watching TI3 on and off all weekend and one thing I've noticed is that Dota seems a lot less objective based and more about getting good pick offs and kills (aside from Roshan), and I'm not sure if that's correct at all or that's just how the meta game is at the moment, can someone help me out here ;_;

Dendi was like 50g from blink when he got ganked.
