While this thread is labeled "DotA2", this is in fact a community thread first. Many of the users in the TL LoL subforum have been playing as friends for over a year now, so it makes logical sense that they would want to play other games together.

Do not compare DotA2 to LoL, you will get banned.

TL LoL veterans know what is expected. Newcomers be warned.

Puppey proved he had a better understanding of how to draft this version than Mushi. Na'Vi couldn't execute for most of the game, but Orange couldn't break base before they made the game-losing mistakes.

Eh, people better at this game than me have said that Nav'i have a better lategame team - they simply got to the point where they had enough items and levels to win the teamfights, regardless of the 10k gold lead that Orange had.

I understand that NaVi has the better late game heroes, it's just that Orange couldn't even lay siege before NaVi got their items.

That's a lesson that Orange failed to learn after watching multiple Chinese teams fall to Alliance rat dota: if you can't break the base, any teamfight advantage you have is meaningless.

it's a tradeoff for their draft, look at Na'vi vs Alliance game 2 where they did basically the same thing, they dominated the early game but couldn't do anything but let Alliance crawl back in once they got all towers outside of their base.

Merlini is wrong here, Puppy put that ground shit (not the black hole) down just as rosh died, so if he had burrowed in his blink would have been disabled.

that's not a tradeoff at all. that's just "let's put on a show until their PL/naix/AM wins the game". There should be more risk for the team that's turtling. Like it just feels wrong if being up 4 towers, 2 core items means nothing. I'm mostly bothered by this game because NaVi played so sloppy and got away with it like it was nothing. Alliance played their game much crisper and didn't feed 20 kills.

Na'vi was underfarmed in the first place because of the OD pick.

you're missing my point... NaVi played that game incredibly bad. People randomly dying, big ults being completely whiffed, overextending, etc etc. And Orange couldn't punish them in any game-winning way.

SO you probably already know that Roshan drops an item that grants a free revive. kyxy accidentally ( we think) attacked the item and destroyed it. Lol doesn't have much of a difference, i guess its like a miss-smite but a bit more embarrassing.

It was all on track in the end, lvl3 track with 5 players around is 850 gold across the team, and it's reliable gold

I'm confused as to what your point is. Orange picked a team focused on early game abuse which was apparently not very good at siegeing towers. Just seems like a flaw in their draft, not Dota as a game.

Edit: I mean I know high ground defense has the advantage, but I guess Orange didn't pick champs to really mitigate that advantage.

I think I'm just complaining and bitching lol. I just get really annoyed when teams get away with bad play because of the inherent nature of the game and meta.

LOL is no different, the deficits you can come from behind with if someone walks into your trap with an AoE comp, are just as silly.

The complaints about Chen/Pudge combo I can understand, but OD would be complete bullshit if he was any good at sieging.

then they didn't draft any right click damage to speak of, this just isn't a problem I'm sorry Orange's draft was such a one trick pony.

Orange isn't a one trick pony one, they are the team that have the most diverse strat in this TI3. Navi on the other hand instantlock Lifestealer+Puck every single game they can... that combo is just so silly and it doesn't even require that much teamwork.
