I have a dream that trickles down my spine. It makes me restless and unable to think clearly.
I wish I was a moderator.
Now, how one becomes a moderator on a site is for me a grand mystery, I do not get it. I have always wondered why I've never been in that seat where you have a ban button. But now in this state of reverie I figure It might be because I'm quickly banned from all sites I visit, for I am a habitual line crosser. But what kind of people are those that seek powers in communities on the internet? I know there some that do it out of a simple wish to help, then there are those that just enjoy power. I often find that I try to figure out what kind of moderator a person is, having had more experience being confronted by people of power in games and on websites than any other sentient being on our planet. This site is actually pretty hip when it comes to moderator flavours, I've been banned here many many times after all.
Anyways, now in my mid twenties I recall that I have been banned from many sites in my life, for the most terrible and lovely reasons. The oddest ban being for comments about dwarfs on an edit article fight about russian seascape painters on wikipedia. Now it wasn't my first incident wikipedia, I had earlier stalked an editor of articles, defacing all his edits. Maybe I had accumulated a certain notoriety. But I was surprised on my last account here that I was not banned sooner. Maybe I was a bit far out to be a regular idiotic troll, as I exercised a kind of magical shaman power to stream into a random psyche of a variety of trolls, exploding my vicious creativity in stream of consciousness of another human being, often a very stupid person.
Now If I were a moderator on a site I've always wondered what I'd do, with the power to ban, I'd probably never fully ban anyone, that would be dull. Instead i'd create like a kindergarden subforum where only banned people can post, i'd let these beasts at it, in this underbelly of teamliquid where all the rage is let loose and the misfits would go at it in topics like religion and politics. There would be cursing.
I know i'd read

I love this idea for the potential social engineering aspects. Can you imagine if this "exclusive club" was given ANY amount of credence by banned users as a private forum? That shit would be HILARIOUS.
"Dude, you're such an asshat and your post is retarded." "Oh yeah, well fuck you, I've been to a secret forum on TL that you have to be invited to."

DUDE THAT IS THE GREATEST IDEA EVER!

Aha!

Can we start a petition for this new subforum?

It would be the opposite of TL+, the dark corner of teamliquid. People would hear distant screams while browsing the site, and people would tell you "It's alright, they can't get to you, they're trapped in there" You'd visit and observe these creatures with nuked images speak unspeakable things and have filthy sex. Rumours would spread that there were satanic rituals among its members, and moderators would calm you by reassuring you they cannot leave those threads and spread into the pure veins of regular teamliquid

Closed threads should be accessible there to add necrophilea to the list of atrocities that take place down there, the tartarus of team liquid.

Well the idea is nice however...
Now if only banned people would be allowed to observe the "dark corner", it would become more of a privilege than a punishment - everyone would like to have a account that could access this "dark world".
Soon everyone would post there and majority of TL would move into this "dark corner", because dark is more appealing, seducing you through your inner passions.

Everyone can observe this hell on earth, but only banned people can post because NO ONE must be allowed to interact with them. It is clear as day, minor issues only.

What the SHIT are you guys talking about, and who the hell is this SoR guy, I roamed this land since the beginning of time.

Obviously you missed some of the blogs. There was this guy called "stateofreverie" who wrote a bunch of hilarious can't-tell-if-he's-troll-can't-tell-if-he's-serious blogs and eventually got banned. Since you said "state of reverie" and have a relatively new account a bunch of us thought that you're his new smurf. Which, as far as I know, you still could be.
