I'm still exhausted after an intensive Dreamhack Summer. We came to the event with no high expectations and we ended up higher than the sky! I still can't belive that SjoW ended up beating Life after having such a hard time coming back into the game.
It all started early march with us contacting SjoW since he showed (hehe) interest in the game once again and felt like giving it a second try, We soon found common goals and it felt like a genuine match for us both, Then the practicing started. Announcement interview here!
Now, three months later he's displaying great skill and confidence in his play. It has been really amazing seeing him climbing the ladder day after day. Simply put, he has the right mind set when it comes to competition. Everything less then a win is a total faillure. When I asked him after his game against Life if he felt satisfied he only replied "I havn't won yet".
In my eyes and the teams he's our champion. The feeling when he managed to grab that second map and the back and forth game three. He went from almost winning to barely hanging on and then back again to win the series. My heart was pounding so hard that I thought it would burst straight through my chest. In addition, it felt really good charging that booth ^^. Just feel a bit bad about Life that did not have the chance to shake hands with SjoW.
Anyway. I would just like to thank everybody for their lovely support during the weekend. I have been leading the team for almost two and a half year and it keeps getting better and better. We now have a better chance to reach more sponsor agreements and send our Swedish players abroad to gain more experience!
The team is my second family and I'm just so happy to see that all our hard work is paying off.
Thanks for reading all you awesome SC2 fans out there <3!
Btw some amazing photographer managed to snap me on right in the perfect moment!
Also, check out when we rushed SjoWs booth after the win if you havnt yet!
