Tell us how you feel about grabbing the victory.
This was my first victory in a really long time. I am even gladder because I secured an all-kill.
It’s been a while since you’ve been sent out for the GSTL. Was this pre-scheduled?
Yes it was. I was scheduled to be sent out much earlier than this week actually but my team league results have never been great so I felt a lot of pressure. I was all ready for it and all but it still felt awkward. But I had confidence today and I told myself to at least try to grab one player.
Did you expect an all-kill?
Not at all. But I did tell myself that every other player would be playable against after I took down jjakji. So my confidence was solid from then on.
With a 5-2 record IM is ranked second. 3rd place AxiomAcer is hot on your tail though.
Rather than worry about rankings, it is more important that we win our final match vs StarTale no matter what. We’ll worry about rankings afterwards. We need to focus on the upcoming match.
In your first game against MadBull, you didn’t see his dark shrine and yet you still created spore crawlers. Did you get a sniff of what was going on?
As I was watching MadBull’s first game vs KangHo, I noticed that MadBull went for zealot pressure as he put up his twilight council. That kind of build order indicates that a DT build will frequently follow up. He canceled it during the first game because KangHo scouted but this time I knew it was coming since I saw his large # of zealots.
You decided to go for a roach drop for game three. It looked like you messed up during the early game but you grabbed the advantage after you took down many workers.
That wasn’t really a successful attack. I was trying to expose the triple CC build but he went for double CC macro build so I was at a disadvantage. But I was able to bring the game into a 50/50 situation by taking down his scvs.
You disappointingly fell out in the Ro16 for WCS AM Season 1.
Whenever I go to America, I always have jet lag issues. This time around I barely got any sleep for 2 days. It was so bad that I almost had a nose bleed for an entire day. I was so out of it that I pretty much had no idea what I was doing as I was playing my matches. It was a very disappointing tourney for me.
WCS Season 2 will begin soon.
I think things will change depending on how much I practice. I want to go much higher than I did for Season 1. I am anticipating myself to put up good results for this season.
Were you feeling lonely in America?
Thanks to MLG representative Hwanni hyung, my stay at America was enjoyable. I am always grateful to supervisor Hwanni. I hope he will take care of me next time as well (laughs).
Anything else you would like to say?
We are now approaching the end of the group stages for GSTL. I hope we can all remain strong and put up a great performance. I want to thank my teammates for helping me with practice and I hope that the fans will cheer on hard for us because we’re going to put on a great performance together. These days, the supervisor seems to be going through a rather difficult time so I hope he feels better. Lastly, I want to thank our sponsors LG Electronics, Steelseries, ASRock, Kingston HyperX, Coca-Cola, Googims Company, Super Flower, 3RSystem, and DX Racer.
