So, facial hair. What the heck.
I just hit my summer semester after the most grueling year of school I'll ever have in my life. I'm quite relaxed. What could be more relaxing than ordering 50% Papa John's pizza from TL while watching random StarCraft streams, and intermittently playing your favorite SNES games? I'll tell you what: not much. Only thing that could make it better is if my number of posts had pure 2's in all digits. Oh wait... Gotta screenshot this so the occasion will last longer than my newly shaved bare face + Show Spoiler +.
My girlfriend is out of town and it's a bummer I can't hang out with her during all this amazing weather and lack of school breaking my feeble spine. So what do I do in her leave? Grow facial hair.
What's up with this facial hair. I don't know about the rest of you, but facial hair is god damn annoying. You have to shave it and constantly keep it groomed. Even if you don't shave you probably have to do some sort of grooming, or shaving of the excess areas. Fuck. I mean I can totally understanding natural daily tasks like taking out the trash, feeding the homeless, bathing, etc. These tasks, sure they take time... But they are important.
What isn't important is cutting off little hairs from your scrabbly face every freakin day. I suppose if I didn't have a girlfriend and wasn't looking for one, I'd just let all loose and see what sprouts forth. But my girlfriend playfully calls me a "shinker" when I don't shave. Why "shinker" you may ask? Well you know that drastic sword/knife-plunging sound you hear in horror or medieval movies when something gets stabbed? It's called an onomatopoeia.
Why should a dude have to suffer through their face being an itchy onomatopoeia. If there were ever an argument against intelligent design, the human beardy face would be the end-all-be-all and we'd all be atheists. Sucks knowing that I'll be shaving once again, for the manyeth time.
Laser hair surgery? Right how about you go zap your face with death rays and then come talk to me. Plus I aint rich foo.
Razor and cut it off? Sure. Razor and cut it off the 2000th time? Hell no go home. Facial hair is ruining my Papa John SNES TL StarCraft Streaming Summer in the Sun.
So anyway, facial hair. What's up with that?

I've been blessed with the fact that my facial hair grows nice and neatly for about 2 weeks at which point I shave. I also don't have very much chest hair or back hair so thank god for that.

What facet of growing facial hair don't you like? I mean you're alone and entirely free to do it right? I'm doing the exact same thing right now, and i'm just literally itching to shave it *again*.
For some people it grows out nicely and naturally and for others it feels like an unnatural phenomenon, especially if you're asian.
On one hand i wish i didn't have to do it, and on the other hand i'm glad i can mix it up once in a while.... but is that option worth the effort?! Tune in next time, on MAN vs MANHOOD!

Shaving blows, it is one of the routine tasks that I hate the most. Whats worse is I feel obligated to shave daily when I am employed. Its definitely something I am not looking forward to after I'm done with school.

Beards are manly. Manifesto has one, too.

Well it does itch when i excersize so i have to shave it regularly. But can't you get like a beard guard or something so it always shaves down to the same point this way you can fake the perma 5 o clock shadow.

If only I had a picture of the beard I'm sporting right now :/

Buy razor and razer. Lols

Have to shave everyday. The catch? I don't. :D

I feel your pain; most of my facial hair grows on my scrawny pencil neck. It's impossible to get it all, and every day I have to run the risk of horrible decapitation. Also I have a really thin dirt-stache. I hate facial hair

Purge is now the manliest waifu in DOTO thanks to his facial hair.. He is an inspiration to us all.

I use a hair clipper. Take me 15 seconds every morning. And it makes me look bad ass.

Your face is only itchy because its not used to being manly i guess. I think sometimes you just have to man up and grow a beard. Ive been growing one for about a year now and I must say its fucing awesome. I don't know what I was thinking shaving. Once you start growing one all the dudes will be jealous and all the women will want to rub on your beard dude trust me. My beard is now an extension of me just like my penis. My goal is to grow this bad dude down to my face now.

After shaving maybe 5 times in the past 3 years or so, with my longest stretch going over 18 months, I'm honestly getting sick of sweat collecting in my beard. I'm getting a better understanding of why they are less socially acceptable. I think I will go spend $40 on razors just so I can form a new habit and keep it off.
I went through a phase where I thought it was completely weird and insane that people keep their hair ultra-short and their face baby smooth, like they are all 10 year olds fulfilling some pedo's wet dream: to have a world of large baby-men running around in suits that strangely look like uniforms. So I grew my hair to maybe mid-bicep and my beard to just above my man-nipples. Let me tell you how much shit I got for that. At the time I was working maybe the worst job in the U.S.; I felt like an anorexic bodybuilder, so I could get away with looking "like that" for as long as I cared to, or as long as I could stand up to the shit I got for it. At the time I was jaded about relationships so I didn't care much about finding or keeping a girl around.
There might have been 2-3 people out of 20 or so that I knew, including my family, who never once told me to cut my hair, or made mention of how they thought I would look with a different style, or bought razors for me during those months. And one of them was my dad. Go figure. It really showed me just how superficial people really can be and how fucked up and shallow most of society has become. But of course I knew that already. I'll say I'm happier without the hair (yeah I cut it all at the same time) but I still don't believe long hair is in any way feminine. People who say that show a fundamental ignorance that I find it hard to tolerate.
Good luck with the beard.
Edit: Not that all the comments were bad. I got some good upvotes on facebook and twitter from old high school friends I hadn't seen in years. One of the more hipster-type kids told me I looked like Jesus. Some girls find it sexy. But mostly the reason I cut it was the comfort factor. I don't much like intimidating people and looking unfriendly. It can hurt the social life.

So I never shaved from it started growing so beard is pretty fine. Hair is kinda soft and doesn't really trouble. Barely notice it unless I fall asleep in class at which point it jumps into my face since head is bowed down.
Other then that its pretty cool. Not sure will ever shave, maybe just trim the bottom to keep in check.
But hey its a personal thing.
