In case anybody's wondering I asked her out and she said she liked me but didn't want any serious relationship right before she left. She said she had had a long distance relationship before and it failed because they hadn't known each other for very long before it. It makes sense to me why she wouldn't want a relationship now but I still down' t understand why she wanted to dance with me and kiss me and stuff. I think it was never super serious to her but I made it all a much bigger deal in my mind because no girl had ever shown any interest in me before.
Oh well it was worth a shot and I'm glad I tried. I've gained a lot of confidence and experience. Hopefully I have more luck in my next endeavour.

Everything is a learning experience. Unlike the hoards of Casanovas that apparently populate TL, it is perfectly acceptable to have this experience end just the way it has. You learn from it, you cherish the memory, and you move forward with more confidence. There is no failure because you didn't achieve some random benchmark of physicality.
