Sure you can go for the super late ultimate protoss army (MS, carrier, tempest, collossus, templar, void w. oracle spotter) but for the viewer it'll be the equivalent of watching a hero jungle till 25 for perfect items. These games make me happy being a Terran ^.^

They all have their own faults and people can get the short stick sometimes You already lost a match and have to win 2 more bo3 to get through your group. Thats your 'punishment' for losing the first set. Extended series continues and punishes you if you meet your opponent again. Now you have won a series and lost a series, as well as your opponent, in which world is it fair that you now have to beat him in bo7 when he has to beat you in a bo3?

Pretty sure when people start these kespa wars they're refering to the elephants, no? If not it makes even less sense.

I think it's just to point out that the players with stricter practice schedules and more vigorous training are performing better than the rest, and that it was absurd to not think those players would eventually surpass ESF.

They all have their own faults and people can get the short stick sometimes Well I would say the only downside of current GSL system is that the initial match set-up matters quite a bit. If you are against the favorite, you have quite a big disadvantage. For example let's say players are 1-4, with 1 being the best etc. Games could be: 2 > 3 score 2-0 1 > 4 1 > 2 3 > 4 3 > 2 score 2-1 (this would be the only ''upset'', but could easily go this way if 2 and 3 are not far apart) 1 and 3 advance even though 2 went 3-2 in total in their games. This feels pretty unfair towards player 2, he did play better in their matches overall than player 3 after all. This is supposed to be compensated by player 2 losing in the winner's match, while player 3 won in the loser's match, BUT obviously winner's match should be a lot harder to win than loser's match. Still it would also not be fair to extend the series, for example starting from 2-0 and doing a best of 5. Both players have won 1 series and lost 1 series so far, so this approach would IMO favor player 2 too much. Maybe player 2 should get a 1 map advantage only if he won 2-0 in the initial series, but that's getting a bit convoluted.
