Tiebreak @ Loki
Ah yes JJu. A trickly little fellow when it comes to rating his ZvT. At times he shows absolute "straight" brilliance and aggressiveness... then at times you wonder what he's been smoking that day. Much like the rest of Samsung KHAN Zergs, he's not too reliable to win games for you, especially against Terrans. Meanwhile we have Ever)T(Sheis. At first glance you ask "who the hell is that? JJu should take this ez".... but not so fast.
If you look at his opponents in the MSL Prelims and Survivor League, he's taken down big names such as Casy, HiyA[fOu], JaeDong, and even Luxury[GsP]. Yes, he's definately shown some good form in TvT and TvZ.. another typical new terran user, who has much to prove in TvP. The map is Python, which imo is a farily balanced ZvT map. The question here is how JJu will play. In the end I will give JJu the upper hand because he is the veteran, and since the maps this season aren't as horrible as they were last season, he has a fair chance.
Man, how many times do these guys have to battle each other? The last two times these guys battled it out (once in ODT and once in Survivor) GooDFriend took it home both times. Therefor, it is only natural that I give the edge to GooDFriend, especially as neither has shown any significant improvement... yet. I'd be more excited about this matchup if it was anything other than a TvT.... yawn.
Assuming we see a JJu vs GooDFriend match, I believe it's safe to expect GooDFriend to advance. Of all the matchups the only GF has shown any solidity on is his TvZ. The interesting point is to see how the two races adapt to the early gas. Zerg will not be affected much, as they get that second gas fairly early anyways. But Terran, is more open to tech builds. I suspect we'll see some kind of dual port strat here... just a hunch.
The fact of the matter is, no matter who wins in Game 1 and 2, we'll see a TvT and TvZ on Desperado. We'll probably end up with a XellOs vs Sheis match, which means things will be difficult to predict. Remember one of Sheis's victims was Casy, who has a fairly nice TvT. I honestly can't say who'll win (even if it's Sheis vs GF).... and since I just think Sheis is ugly and XellOs is studly, I'll go with him. (that's right, I just voted on looks and completely disregarded skill. Bite me.)
Let's see... if my prediction comes out correct (and judging by 0/3 stats on last Saturday's MSL match, I'm sure it won't be) we'll see a XellOs vs JJu match. Who do I vote for? Tough, as neither are exactly NaDa nor Savior. For the sake of terran-killing, I'll go with JJu. As a biased zerg user and a Terran hater (17 terrans, are you kidding me?) I'm hoping to see as many terran deaths as I can (except maybe Boxer).
Match to watch for: None
Really there's no match that I'm excited about. Mass TvT = zzzzz....
