Ability to watch tournaments live in BNET
Allow players to experience Esports with the product designed to be an Esport. Allow viewers to watch their favorite tournaments live in the BNET client with their friends. Also allow them to select castors to comment live on the game. Finally, allow viewers to chat in-game with people around the world watching the tournament.
Ability to buy tickets and decals through BNET
Add the ability to purchase tournaments and team decals in the game client or on Blizzards website. This helps support tournaments and teams with micro transactions that are not "pay to win". Blizzard would get a small cut from these and could use that money to continue to support Starcraft in the long term. By bringing the ticket buying process inside Blizzard you legitimize this for players hesitant to purchase tournament tickets. Players trust Blizzard and regularly buy their products. By centralizing the process withing blizzard you make it easier to market to the consumers and you also increase competition between tournaments enhancing value through free market yadayada.
Ability to find out when community events occur through BNET
Introduce a calender with community events such as tournaments, Day9's Funday Monday and State of the Game. Teamliquid already has a great calender however many players, particularly new players and those from non-english speaking regions may not have a resource such as this. An in-game calender would further help casual "campaign only" player discover and engage in Esports.
