Night 1 As the day turned into night, the room drew even colder. But my sweat continued to burn the boards off of the floor. It was time to open the box full of slips, little notes of hasty condemnation, to decide which wreck among us would be the first to be cleaned off the rocks. "GreYMisT" I read it aloud and he shifted nervously in his chair, unaware of exactly what his punishment would be. We stayed put in our chairs as he stood and slowly left the room. We could hear the slow drag of the front doors opening as he walked out into the forest. I wondered if he would actually make it home. Somehow, I doubted this. And so far in this strange turn of my life, my intuition had only led me to truth, no matter how disturbing and mysterious it could be. Before I could gather my thoughts, several of the other strangers had made a grab for his card. The one he left on his card. "We made a mistake." one man said plainly. His glasses hung low on his nose and his beard was so unshaven that it could have housed the jersey devil inside of it. "Read it then." I responded. What am I doing? It's not like me to be this forward. Yes. I like to watch, not to partake. There's something about this place. "Ok." GreYMisT the Nightmare has been lynched. You are the Nightmare. At the end of the day cycle you can choose a player whose dream you will visit. In the dream you can communicate with them in secret. You will be sent a mod link to a quicktopic. You do not have to use your real username. After a full cycle of communication, once in the game, you can choose to kill the player you had just masoned with by attacking them with a nightmare, they will die during the next night cycle. PM Night actions to me and Oatsmaster now :-)

an entirely wrongheaded attack on GK, and unexplained scumreads on WoS and Testsubject. He's right on testsubject but never goes into detail. As a final token to Greymist I will take an analytical look at WoS before the end of the night though, and as usual you will have my general thoughts and cases before dawn.

Couple things I've noticed so far: - The DP wagon was pretty bad IMO. I just read through DP's filter and holy hell did he have to put up with a lot of shit. I will be looking hard at people that sheeped onto that wagon (glurio, cosmic, WoS, zarepath) - Coag hopped on the DP bandwaggon in the voting thread despite never mentioning him in his filter. Is this normal Coag behavior? Too scummy to be scum? - I can't get the geript + zarepath theory out of my head. I will probably make a post further expounding upon this before the deadline. - Hyaach didn't post. Is Hyaach going to be an unflipped modkill? I'll probably be around for a while reading filters and would be happy to converse with anyone else online so this doesn't become a silent night.

Ah so a townie got lynched and instead of looking at the people who actually helped lynching him you look at the people who tried to lynch someone of whom we don't know the alignement yet? I took a look at WoS, one of the guys who sheeped the mislynch his vote post: On March 18 2013 13:18 WaveofShadow wrote: Alright reading through zare's filter his lack of commitment and hardcore line of questioning strikes me as the differences between his play here and in NMM 37, the only game in which I have played with him. His activity does go down from its usual on weekends that is true, but even with that excuse his play seems much weaker than the town play I'm used to seeing from zare. Usually much stronger cases and less sheeping. My meta reads are overall fairly weak thus far into my mafia career though so I'm not yet comfortable lynching zare based on that evidence. I'm inclined to agree with geript's thoughts of 'waiting it out' to see if his play improves since GM seems to be the stronger choice for today. Zare wouldn't mind a response to MY response to your earlier suspicion against me. As for GM, he holds something in common with zare, in that he also brings up suspicion against me, calls me scummier than DarthPunk, doesn't back it up, and then ignores me completely. His AHA! post reeks of bad towny play (stupid gambit is stupid), but isn't Grey supposed to be a mafia veteran? That kind of 'trap' is something that zare tried to spring on the rest of the town AS a townie in NMM 37 but it only ended up muddling up the whole thread for that day and accomplishing nothing. Greymist's trap seems like an easy way to hide behind the fact that he couldn't be assed to contribute in a positive way and to jump on the first person to call him out for being gone (whether for legit reasons or not) as others have pointed out. It's nice that other people seem to think DP isn't scummy anymore btw, (and the flailing around once under heavy suspicion seems more like a towny think to do than scum) so he's null for me right now. I still don't lke the stance on lurkers despite how he described it. Unvote: DarthPunk Vote GreYMisT I read it that he thinks zare is really scummy, GM is a little bit like zare, but rather is bad town? (Bolded the important part.) Still votes for GM in the end. So instead of waiting for the mafia-vet to improvie his play he rather waits for the newbie guy to do the same? This is really bad reasoning in my eyes.

I went to bed before I saw this, but this is absolute bullshit. First, BH does value going back through dead players filters to look at their points; hell he even said he'd read mine even after I martyred myself. The real BH is no newb who sheeps other dead vets. This isn't the tone of the "Fuck Yah, I'm king of the world" BH we got last game; this isn't cold, rational aggressive BH. This is scum. Never once that I can think of last game did BH so instantly attack players after a flip especially so worthlessly. There's literally no point to this post whatsoever other than trying to direct traffic. I was at work and got lost in the DP VE slugfest and didn't catch this point at the time: On March 18 2013 08:30 DarthPunk wrote: THe pressure on Blazing had nothing to do with goodkarma's alignment. It should be obvious that I was pressuring him on making a dead set town read based on weak meta so swiftly. Why? Because scum are likely to make town reads like that and town are not. Unvote: DarthPunk Vote GreYMisT I would like to know why you thought it's nice that other people didn't think DP was scummy anymore when you said you could get behind his lynch earlier based on VE's case. This doesn't make any sense. Have I actually been wrong about you guys? + Show Spoiler + On March 18 2013 04:16 WaveofShadow wrote: Also I believe I promised I'd give my thoughts on Vivax/TPS: Vivax's defense of me notwithstanding, I'm not so sure this was a slip. Meta reads are going to be something I will not be very good at until I play quite a few more games with all of you guys, so I can't look back at Yamato and try to find out if Vivax's claim is legitimate. I'm not sure why he would be so confident as to flat out call him Yamato in one sentence and the back off a little saying 'I think' in another, it's a very odd way of doing it rather than flat out asking 'Are you Yamato' or simply saying 'I think TPS is Yamato.' Either way the 'slip' itself seems null, as is Vivax's defense on me; his points ring true (and I'm happy people actually notice me for once) but obviously there are both scum and town motivations for doing what he did. As for TPS, I'm having a hard time because I actually enjoyed his setup speculation (even though I know that's something that is generally frowned upon) and his early pressure on Coag is something that I would have gotten behind if I weren't fucking terrified of having the wrath of every vet in existence on top of me for 'not knowing how Coag usually plays.' I said it in an earlier post, Coag doesn't look great to me, but I'll trust the townies who seem to know him. Now TPS's pressure in my eyes really depends on whether he is a smurf or not imo. If he is, I would think that he would know exactly how Coag usually plays and so this would seem like an agenda to me. If he's not, he is legitimately pressuring and pushing a read on a player who looked (at least up until he started posting more frequently and usefully) scummy. So null on TPS for now until the smurf idea is resolved. I CAN, however get behind a vote on DP. I support VE's case though I do not necessarily support his town circle; call that scummy if you wish but having never seen one in a game before I have no idea of their risks or benefits and it just seems manipulative to me. It's also nice how everyone is going to be real fucking quick to jump down my throat thanks to GM randomly naming me before he dies (multiple times) without anything to back it up. I love how just like in LX I get ignored half the game and no one responds to anything I say, and as soon as somebody randomly decides to point fingers at me suddenly the whole fucking thread is up in arms. (Expletives deleted, don't want DrH yelling at me), I'm lone wolfing this game.

You imply that it's dumb that people are going for those who originally voted DP (namely, you) and group me along with you, and then IN THE SAME FUCKING POST you accuse me of shit WHEN WE'RE IN THE SAME BOAT? Is this really the town I'm going to have to put up with this game? REALLY?

I simply stuck to my read. How about adressing the issues i raised? Your only defense is calling me a newbie?
