And continuing this theme of being fair. When MLG has Life and Leenock are there any other Zergs they really need? There aren't many that are really better than those two. Ofc it's fair if we get more zergs no matter if you think they are better or not, they now do not get a chance to prove they actualy could beat Life or Leenock etc. I... can't argue with that, I contract my earlier statement My point was more on the line of getting an accurate idea on current balance. With such a big skill disparity between the top Zergs and the LG-IM players in attendance here at IEM it's really hard to get an accurate gauge but with top Zergs like Life and Leenock attending MLG it should be a much better measurement assuming of course that those two have actually been practicing HoTS at all. Considering they were seeded we simply have no idea, so that entire statement has not footholding. We have not seen them play, they might not even come close to the play they had in WoL. It's guess work nothing more. How do we know they are the best ? perhaps looking back at this IEM Violet played alot better ? Silly statement an MLG is not going to judge anything. Next season GSL might. Better measurement doesn't mean it's satisfactory. Personally I'm withholding all balance judgments until the next GSL season myself. Stop using the word balance, let's just call it the meta game or the current game trend. As it stands at least I believe that the protoss army late game will be incredibly strong and probably hard for zerg to fend off, however if Zerg manages to beat protoss in the early middle game either by killing him or crippling him enough he might still have a chance. How likely is this or is it harder for protoss to go to the super army than it is for Zerg to punish the protoss or vice versa is yet to be determined. But balance is so much easier to type.... I.. can't argue with that actually, I retract my earlier statement.

I don't think the skill disparity between all the IM guys and violet/stephano is that big, at least it wasn't in wol. All of the IM guys maybe not. Those 4? Definitely. Based on what? I don't want to start the stephano discussion for the #240214 time, but how are first/yonghwa/yoda better than violet? Well elfi can beat Violet in a BO3. Go figure.
And violet can get to the finals at IPL5 and NASL4. go figure

Yeah this really is silly. Code S is by far the most competitive tournament there is. If you are not on top of your game that day you are out - simple as that. And yes that can also happen to great players like MVP and the likes.
That does not mean they cannot compete with Code S calibers however...
Adding to that is comparing results in WoL with the very early state of HotS, where apparently the IM guys did an excellent job preparing in which gave them also a nice edge(apart from their already extremely good mechanics)

Seems Mvp has decided ot be the defender and YoDa the aggressor. That benefits Mvp, but let's see what YoDa can get done.
