Corruptors really can't get a bead on them, either, so between that and the void rays eating them alive, corruptors don't seem to counter anything Protoss has in the air anymore. they are quite great when they are in a combat. Which happens when the opponent has slower units that you can attack like Colossi. I'm really glad that such a boring unit isn't the end all AtA unit in the game. If something is needed in between Infestors, Hydras, Vipers which you can use to snipe single VRs and Colossi and Queens/Spores which are quite good for defense, I definatly hope that it is not going to be better Corruptors.

The infestor on HoTS is a mere shadow of the monster it is in WoL. It's a proper support unit that has specific uses instead of the generalist caster that counters everything that it is in WoL.

Very cool how much time changes stuff. At one point I remember popular zergs calling all maps with no 3 free easy to defend bases "shit maps."

Yes, it still roots. No idea why the other guy think it would only slow.

This composition is potentially defeatable, would've liked to see just a couple infestors mixed in. Range phoenix look way too good against corruptors though, that should probably be looked at as I can't imagine they're intended to beat them. I agree. Balance arguments aside though, I must say that Blizzard did a phenomenal job with Protoss in HotS; all units are viable and interesting now. + Show Spoiler + except the poor carrier

It's not the Void Ray/Colossus but the Void Ray/archon/templar that is the problem. Zerg needs to kill the protoss or cripple him economically before the Protoss reaches that composition.
