Yeah I feel the same, they are only at the 3rd and 4th bases (I think? At least the most advantageous high grounds which are close to the expansion) so they don't really come into play before the mid game, which means the player has enough time to prepare for it in any way and they don't end the game right away like they did on Lost Temple. I think map characteristics like this are really interesting as long as the map has advantages for every race and does not just favor one or two races in particular.

The new reaper opening is basically the same as the old hellion opening, kill creeps, allows you to go for super fast 3rd even before zerg's. the 3CCs greedy opening is supposed to counter 2 base muta really well.
