Flesh is there only for 2 cards, on the play turn 3 Geist and Obzedat on 5. Price hits Angel/Hellrider/Thragtusk and any of the Humans Reanimator shennigans. Mostly of the haste creatures when I can make my PWs out of 1 card/turn kill range, so I can get 2 activations at least. Death Wind covers all the multicolored stuff.
I like this removal set up the most right now. Dmir Charm went back up to 2 because mid range is really a miserable match up for Esper. It covers all of the things they can play on 4 and 5.

I don't know the card seems inefficient compared to the other options. I like that your deck runs sorin while the other lists do not but the removal package seems slightly weaker(not a lot just slightly because of the x cost).

It looks like a GoodStuff.dec to me. 4 copies of good cards that have some synergy with each other and roll with it. Reminds me of old-school deck building in a way haha.

It's not about just killing any creatures, its who the intended target is. Think of all the multicolored creatures you expect to see and how many will be in a deck.
Saito's list just makes me cry though, list looks impossible.

Heh, probably not. Still UWR has been around for a while now, glad to finally see someone move out of the UW shell.

sigh, extort is so broken, it should have a limit to one extort per spell. doesnt help that they have the cheapest T2 beaters as well.

Extort is not even close to broken unless one person is the only one drafting orzhov cards, and even then it's only really strong.
Here's my updated list after what I experienced at the PTQ. Will continue testing this and probably continue to make changes.

Just got back from gp London, completely exhausted, I must have slept about 10 hours over the whole weekend and I'm not gonna dare check my bank balance for the next couple of weeks

Souns like you had good time.

So I joined a local GTC sealed league, we random rolled for guilds (of course I ended up with Dimir the only guild I haven't really drafted or played with or against much). Aside from the sealed 60card deck we get 2 GTC booster packs, and each week we get 2 more booster packs (The 2 packs can be picked from any of the current T2 sets). The league is set for 5weeks of 7matches each, with each game counting as 1 point, at the end of each week the highest point total gets some extra prizes and is qualified for the play offs which happen after week 5. The remaining 3 for the play offs will be decided by highest point totals of all 5 weeks combined, excluding those who already qualified due to having the highest weekly total.
Anyways I thought it would be kind of interesting to see what kind of decks you would build using the same card pool. That idea would be cool as fuck if your store had left over RTR sealed product too so you get a 10 man group and each one of you starts with a Guild box and fights for your respective guild.
I still like the idea and might have to throw it the way of my local store.

I played a teachings list during the early days of Modern - to little success, I should say. However, I just found permission to be pretty bad in the format. Maybe BBE banning helped some? But I think U/W control has to look somewhere else, like Caw-Blade stylish control.
I haven't seen the new meta game though, I guess I'm just thinking out loud. Teachings is sweet.

Haven't played magic in months but I got a PTQ coming up nearby so I decided to throw together my year old list of affinity on mtgo and I am just crushing people. Not sure what the metagame looks like but so far I've just been facing stupid UW/x control decks or tron decks. The only match up I ever feared before was Jund and now without bloodbraid I'm not too worried.

Can anyone identify the two lands in the row with the Clifftop Retreats? I think they are basic Mountains but I'm not too sure. Gonna start playing this on mtgo and hopefully crush.

So I was drafting last night. In one draft I got 3 burning tree emissaries, 2 wasteland vipers, 2 rubblehulks, 1 ghor-clan rampager, 1 experiment one, 1 giant adephage, 1 domri rade, along with a pretty good mix of commons, slaughterhorns, skinbrand goblins, madcap skills, etc.
I was just sat there with my mouth wide open pretty much the entire time as I was getting passed such amazing cards throughout the entire draft. When the draft was done I just went around the table and checked, and there were 3 boros, 2 simic, 1 dimir, 1 orzhov and me, with me sitting between a simic and dimir player, but it still seemed unbelivable that I'd get passed so much good stuff.
Needless to say I won. Dropped one game in the first bo3 vs a boros that had an aurelia, just rolled everything else though pretty much.

I find it quite humorous that we're in a Standard that has super clean mana. Can play 3 colors really easily. Yet Mono White humans is still putting up amazing results.

9th at SCG Edison, thought there was one at Atlanta too but I guess I was seeing things. I think Naya, UW and Boros are stronger but it's still comical to see.
