i would like to put it down to karma, no matter how irrational that may be.
eg-tl is popular for being a foreign team, not because they're exceptionally good, but because they could potentially bring some fresh faces and styles to a league that doesn't exactly lack top-class korean talent.
yet they insist time and again on fielding the koreans. i don't get it. if these koreans were on some other team, say stx, team 8, prime, whatever, they wouldn't enjoy especial popularity from the TL community.
of course, of course, you want to win, and to do that you have to field your best players, but if your top 6 are all koreans in a foreign joint-team, well, what are you doing really? i really hope team 8 will be able to field Major with confidence soon.

Is EG-TL at the bottom of the ranking now? I was really excited when it was announced that EG-TL will participate in PL but looks like all that excitement is going to waste due to lackluster performance

EG-TL players should be punished physically for not embracing the magical code of honor of pro-league, which is best understood by those watching at home. I wouldn´t be surprised if kespa ordered them to commit ritual suicide in order to wash away the shame they have brought over the holy scripture of whatever it is that the belief in PL´s supreme holiness is based on. And then, STX should be barred from PL as well, because having a worse record than TL-EG they must be even more lazy and undeserving of the holy light that is pro-league. It's been confusing me as well. His style was great during the NASL wins... but he never moved on as the metagame shifted around from his abusive style. Due to the focus on that style, he's ended up so far behind everyone else at this point that I can't imagine him catching up.
The only way he's going to return to any prominence is through specifically focusing on finding an abusive style in HOTS to pick some wins up early in it's life and then riding off into the sunset.

This. I thought the purpose of having EG-TL in PL was to raise interest among foreigners, yet we see almost exclusively koreans from them, while HuK, Thorzain and Stephano are at least as good as JYP, Puma and Revival respectively. Strange, very strange policy from team's executives.

The team lacks Terrans now that Taeja is injured. Thorzain may have won a game, but Puma may have been better than Thorzain in practice.

the poster above, though overemotional, was right. PL is not another show off league and it is a real pity to see how EGTL arranges its priorities.

Huk is not better than JYP. He's been god awful in PL.
On the others, I feel you're right. Of course, how they expect to win when they keep putting Puma, Huk, and Zenio out there is simply beyond me.

Well, EGTL is pretty much done it looks like. Not sure if this venture was the greatest of ideas if they weren't going to try their absolute hardest to win.
They just lost to the weakest team 4-1. If they aren't going to play Stephano, and can't play Taeja, there's really not much hope for them unless it was an all-kill format.
^rabble rabble rabble, just frustrated they aren't doing as well as they COULD be. I don't really agree with a lot of their coach's choices.

EG-TL was never about the foreigners. The whole "TL is a foreign team" thing is quite honestly a joke when all the results they get in tournaments and team leagues all come from the Koreans. At least Stephano wins stuff for EG. The whole Proleague endeavor was meant to be Koreans + Stephano getting all the wins, all the other foreigners tagging along for the ride.
People should just be happy they aren't last on the list, unlike a certain "foreign" team in GSTL that showed what happens when you try to field foreigners in a Korean teamleague.

It's easy to rationalize a lot of things we see, but the question is before the fact: did you really expect qxc to do what he did prior? I'd guess a resounding no.

I do not think it has anything to do with the skill of the players, rather how they practiced. I was going to call it last night: Jaedong will be the only one to win a game this time around, simply because he knows how to practice for situations like these.(I should have posted! Would have me looked so internet coolz. T_T)
If you guys pay attention to the game between Revival and Trap you will notice what I mean. Revival played it like it was a ladder game. Notice that up to the mid-game he knew exactly what he was doing, albeit he made too many corruptors, I feel. But, after he killed that first army, like in ladder, you kinda know you've already won - Even trap had a 'wtface'. In 90% of ladder games, a player would leave after failing an attack like that, you don't really practice for what comes after, most of the time. Except Jaedong. He's really the only one there with years of experience preparing for this type of match, where he has time to choose the very best build, and it becomes a real 1v1. You don't worry so much about all-kills and all that.
STX has been around since BW. They have tons of experience in gaming houses, with a bunch of practice partners, and real coaches standing behind them telling them exactly how to improve and where. EG-TL lacks this kind of experience. I feel that they are just a bunch of ladder players, for the moment. No offense, by the way. EG-TL is my favorite team. ^_^
tldr: Pro-league team and coaches simply have more experience than the relatively new EG-TL, shown by how their only real pro-leaguer, who has vast amounts of experience in a pro-league format, was the only one to win his game.
