They have Taeja, Stephano and HerO, some of the best players even using Korean measurement, and due to bad luck and/or poor planning, they consistently have to rely on JYP, Revival or PuMa to carry the team. That just doesn't work.

Hmmm I don't get the logic of this, Stephano is saving his builds for Code S and thus not playing in PL, but he doesn't mind streaming 4 hours a day so every opponent in his group can dissect his play?
Not sad that EGTL lost (mostly cause of EG part, rooting for STX to get 7th and KHAN to continue their demolition derby), but if those are the reasons for not fielding one of stronger players on the team then the coach needs to get his head checked.
Anyway, bet JD feels silly after joining yet another Team Jaedong & Jaedong OZ.

revival had the biggest brain fart ive ever seen. i could have probably won that as a diamond league player off-racing zerg, when he had more than double the supply.

Taeja, Stephano, and Jaedong are good. And Jyp, Revival, and Hero are decent, but the rest of the players on EGTL are easily the worst players in Proleague.
But, hey, you get back what you put in. It's damned obvious that success in Proleague isn't EG-TL's main prerogative. Their players steam hours a day and some of them even play HOTS-- Thorzain oftentimes streams HOTS the day before SPL and Revival is streaming it now. What did Flash say in an interview? That he had no time to play HOTS because he was preparing for proleague?
And the EG-TL coach said practice is 8 hours a day? Literally a laughable amount compared to Kespa teams.
I just want the season to end and this entire farce to be over. If EG-TL isn't going to take such a prestigious league seriously, they don't deserve to be in it. They are an insult to SPL. You don't join Pro League to half-ass it, because the rest of the Kespa teams have it as their first and only priority.

Care to elaborate? (didn't/can't watch games, work ._.)

Sigh, just when I was getting excited for this team, they drop 2 in a row.

Revival had stomped Trap's immortal all-in, was mining uncontested on 3 bases (1 of them was gold) and went passive mode - didn't do shit to prevent a 2base toss to macro up and make a death ball. Then he epically lost, comedy value over 9000 (specially when you watch other EGTL matches today).

Care to elaborate? (didn't/can't watch games, work ._.) Trap moved out to do an immortal push but went before his warpgates were all ready. Revival's army came out to meet him. Trap missed his forcefields and lost everything but 2 immortals that he was able to save with a warp prism. Revival still ended up losing after taking a series of bad engagements and never really getting off roach ling tech even though he was on 4 bases vs 2

I agree. EG-TL players should be punished physically for not embracing the magical code of honor of pro-league, which is best understood by those watching at home. I wouldn´t be surprised if kespa ordered them to commit ritual suicide in order to wash away the shame they have brought over the holy scripture of whatever it is that the belief in PL´s supreme holiness is based on. And then, STX should be barred from PL as well, because having a worse record than TL-EG they must be even more lazy and undeserving of the holy light that is pro-league.
I really appreciate your inside knowledge of PL.

Why everybody just assumed that it's Stephano decision to not play in PL ? Maybe he wanted to but the Staff thought the others guys would be enough to beat STX and with that save his strategys for GSL. Stephano could play like on his stream, troll style and still win (when he streams, he doesn't play seriously, just mass ling or another shit so he doesn't reveal anything).
In fact I saw on his face today the deception to not have play today, his face when Revival lost was priceless. I'm pretty sure he was planned to play as the ace if necessary.

I keep forgetting that (Z)Revival is on EG. Man they need Taeja badly. I feel like EG-TL should actually be owning it up in proleague. They have talented players on the roster. EG has the best foreign line up, so is it not resonable to expect big things from them? IF you in the US its like, the Yankees. THey buy talent and on paper they should win every year, if they don't and some lesser known team wins the world series than everyone is like wtf?

No, no, no! Everybody plays in training exactly the way they play in the booth, which is why every performance can be pre-determined. We know that, because as viewers we understand the players and their abilities a lot better than the coaches who live and train with them every day.

An average day in FPL for me, but could be worse. Trap's on my anti-team, but so is Revival, so it would've been bad either way. Trap got -4 for me, but Bogus is on my main and got +4, so just negated. JYP is on my main and could've done better. Could've been worse if Bogus lost, but I hoped JYP would win and that he would beat Trap in an ace match (knocking Trap down to -2 and bringing JYP up to +8, meaning I would have +9 points instead of +0 (since Revival would get a point for team win).

Well another loss. HotS is probably a part of it and I get people want to train HotS, make more sense long term.
But Puma... 0-5 now. Apparently the player with worst score in entire SPL. I wonder what it will take to not keep sending him out, 0-7? Maybe 0-8?
Send out Huk instead, at least I get entertained then.

Calm down a little. You don't actually know how many hours a day KeSPA players practice for PL, especially that ones that also play GSL. Also, These guys still have to catch up somewhat. If you think they're at ESF level, they're not - the average Kespa player that is. And not even their best are at the level of the top ESF players. They still die to builds that are figured out simply because they weren't around when the builds were trending. Somethign that's incredibly obvious in their games is that they're still not accustomed to certain aspects of the game, especially timings. So they're gonna have to put additional work into those things. If you look at players like Taeja or HerO, they don't need to practice that stuff for hours. They got that down like it's nothing. They're straight up beasts at this game. So the practice EGTL will do is mostly map related or preparing a certain strategy.
What you're also forgetting is that Kespa teams got money. They got big sponsors that feed them money for being in PL and doing well. EG and TL on the other hand have a different marketing system that (probably) includes their players streaming from time to time if they're not super busy with flying everywhere or preparing for an important round of GSL. These are foreign teams that literally make money because people like the players. So of course they're gonna stream. And they're playing HotS to not be completely clueless when it comes out which is actually pretty smart. I bet Kespa teams have their B-team playing HotS as well for when PL switches over so they'll already have a lineup to put up.

Does someone have news about Taeja? Is he feeling better? Will he play in GSL in a couple of days?

All I can say was that was magnificent to watch, especially the Trap game. Dunno what's wrong with EGTL, but please continue your mediocrity.

Hwanni @EGHwanni @ioDanck Hmm you should keep up with news. Taeja has serious problen with his wrist. He can hardly play. We should hope his recovery.
Doesn't sound like things are going well for Taeja
