Stephano, HuK, JD, ThorZaIN, Hero, IdrA would be so baller and I wouldnt care about loss or win.

Otherwise the whole EGTL thing is boring to watch. Seriously, if i wanna watch koreans i look at, Flash, MVP, MKP, Parting, Life etc...
Liquid and EG should stick to the old style with foreigners you can relate with.

The amount of criticism egtl gets is totally ridiculous. No one complains about any other PL team even half as much when they lose. Guess it just goes to show how emotionally invested people are in the team, which is a good thing. Better to have people complaining than no one saying anything?
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

You would love to see them get smashed week after week - even worse than now - for an entire year? A weird sense of entertainment.

I don't feel it is very embarrassing for a foreign team (actually fielding foreigners, at least 50%) to be dead last in a korean laegue. It would be more embarrassing if they did not give it their best shot. Sometimes, it makes their victories famous, especially if they were massive underdogs.

Let's take a recent case in soccer, by far the worlds most popular sport. We have liverpool, a team which everyone who watches football should know. And then we have oldham, perhaps one of the most obscure teams in england, who just managed to score a huge upset over liverpool in a tournament. That makes the game exciting without compromising a team's "small-town" identity.

A team may not have a huge fanbase or limitless resources but can strive to make up for it through hard work and honest play. That wins them dedicated fans and not glory hunters. Let's be frank we don't expect either EGTL or oldham to be topping their leagues any time soon. In fact they'll probably be stuck right at the bottom. But who's to say there's no space in a league for these teams?

There is no such thing is "e-sports". There is Brood War, and then there is crap for nerds.

Would be pretty much the same like now. Best players JD, Hero and Stephano still on the roster and the rest is good for an occasional win in a bo1. 7th or 8th place after all. Does it matter?
At the moment its like 'alright, do foreigners play today? No, well brb 2 hours and checking results'

Huk is terrible, Stephano unproven in PL format(and probably not even there for the entire season) and neither JD nor Hero are S class PL players. Pretty sure they won't do any better than they are doing now.

Need 6 players in regular format. If the other players can't win games, even if all 4 players here have 80% winrate, the team is still only at 41% winrate in regular format.

Why the hell are Zenio and Puma playing every damn week. Their results are beyond subpar.

When I heard of EG-TL I got excited at the thought of watching foreigners battle it out with the big boys but this is just boring to watch. Bring back HuK Stephano and Thorzain and drop half of the koreans since they obviously can't get shit done.

Uhh HuK is pretty bad. HerO and JD have days where they look like they don't know what they're doing.

EG-TL was never about the foreigners. The whole "TL is a foreign team" thing is quite honestly a joke when all the results they get in tournaments and team leagues all come from the Koreans. At least Stephano wins stuff for EG. The whole Proleague endeavor was meant to be Koreans + Stephano getting all the wins, all the other foreigners tagging along for the ride.
People should just be happy they aren't last on the list, unlike a certain "foreign" team in GSTL that showed what happens when you try to field foreigners in a Korean teamleague.

Well qxc did allkill IM at one point...

Good job, he cheesed MVP...what almost 1 and a half years ago?
Doesn't prove me wrong anyways, so idk.

EG/TL's performance and the coaching decisions are a real shame for the foreign esports scene.

Why were the coaches chosen? Fire them now and bring in Nazgul as coach!

EG/TL should have a foreigner coach, because even a foreigner coach would know not to send out Puma for a 5th time.

Its just so sad........ Under the right leadership, this team would be contending.

I don't get why HerO, Jaedong, and Stephano aren't consistently played. With Taeja hurt, those are the three players I'd trust the most to win games. People are saying things like Stephano doesn't want to give away strats for Code S. If that's the case, have him practice the KeSPA maps in Proleague (which he should be learning anyways) and put him out on those. People are saying HerO hasn't performed that well in Proleague. This may be true, but he's much more likely to give you a chance to win games than Puma or Zenio. If their roster was healthy, they'd have HerO, Jaedong, Stephano, and Taeja. If all of those guys get played, there's a good chance you win a few games and then use the less consistent JYP and Revival to grab another and potentially win the match.

Despite me complaining though, I think not having Taeja really hurt this team, especially in Round 2. Injuries suck.

Funny thing is HerO was by far their best player in Round 2.
