A: If Christmas happens, the Day on which Christmas takes place will be extended by 24 hours as The Inquisition stays home to pray. I came up with most of the flavor and mechanics myself, but several other players helped fine-tune the setup. iGrok helped me pick out what powers should be available and suggested the Witch Hunter get a second bullet. jaybrundage, acrofales, and forumite helped with general balance and brought in the idea of the baptized acolyte. | ||

The Witch Hunter, whose name is known only to himself, walks this road. Three weeks ago The Priest from Liquidia Parish sent out a call to arms, a call for aid. Once, The Priest had been an Inquisitor, traveling the country side to fight heresy, infidelity, and apostasy. He gave up that life for a quieter, more peaceful life-- and who could blame him? Most Inquisitors eventually hung up their hats and settled down. The Witch Hunter has unearthed and sent back to the mud greater beasts than most have ever known. And he is not alone, for with him is the famous Inquisitor who broke up the Teyellia coven. The Priest, The Inquisitor, and The Witch Hunter stand together, and with them the hope for the citizen's lives-- no, their very souls. The citizens gather around the church, unknowingly already slaves to The Coven. Hidden amongst them are Acolytes, channeling that raw dark energy of Satan, perverting their minds and souls. In a horrible moaning, they bring into being a Greater Demon, whose claws rend the sky and whose breath of sulfur fumes threatens to blot out the very sun itself. With a mighty roar, it knocks down the front wall of The Church, laying bare the pews inside. The Priest, The Inquisitor, and The Witch Hunter work quickly, feverishly, to complete their prayers. Just as the Greater Demon is upon them, a bolt of light spears down from the sky. An Angel flickers briefly into existence, throwing rods of light, impaling the Greater Demon and shattering the bonds of magic used to make it. In a mighty explosion, the Greater Demon is sent sputtering into the abyss whence it came, and the crowd of townsfolk and Acolytes is scattered. "I don't know if I can do that again," says The Priest, coughing. "Then we must hunt down the remaining acolytes and save them before they have enough energy to summon another beast," says The Inquisitor. The Witch Hunter silently loads his revolver with his last two silver bullets. The Greater Demon has been banished-- for now! The Coven has been scattered! The Angel fades from this world! Welcome to Day 1! This Day ends in ~48 hours at Sunday, Dec 16 9:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) aka 21:00 GMT (+00:00). | ||
