Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding. |

If you put a random NA or EU Masters Zerg player in that game, there's a good chance that they would perform better than JD did. JD's supply was low, his decisions were bad, his control was lacking. I'm not saying JD is as bad as he played in that game. Maybe he just had a bad showing. But if that game was representative of his current SC2 skill level, he has a LONG ways to go before he's competitive at the pro level.
Stop digging the hole, bud.

Shit even Suppy is amazing, I mean sure some of these players aren't playing their best recently. But seriously atleast 6-7 of them can easily take games of off the best. Quit trolling. But do any of those players have what it takes to win it all? Taeja, Hero and Stephano have proven they have what it takes to beat the best in the world and win multiple tournaments. Its a shame none of them could be there. I guess Stephano just didn't want to go?
He's taking a break.

If EG-TL wins their next proleague match people will be declaring them champions all over again. They will go from ez champions, to not very good, to champions again in the eyes of the people. You heard it here first.

Just wait till we are 3-4 rounds in and its starting to look impossible for them to make playoffs, hopefully that'll have people shutting up about tl-eg being favorites or w/e, imo they need a lot of luck to even make it into playoffs.

It will surprise me if JD wins a game thisseason

I'm reminded of a time when IdrA (on SotG or something) was asked about which BW players he thought would transition well to SC2. He singled out Jaedong as a player that he thought wouldn't transition well.
He said that Jaedong's strength was always his godly mechanics and that being fast was way less important in SC2. We'll see if IdrA's prediction pans out, but Jaedong for sure has progressed more slowly than a lot of the other players. It should be interesting to track his progress either way.
I feel he'll really begin to shine during the early months of HotS given the increase in overall micro opportunities for Zerg. I'm not holding out for WoL success given how little time there is before HotS becomes the standard for tournaments.

wow JD must bite himself in the arse after team8's win yesterday...

Personally, I'll wait 3-4 rounds in where they actually have Stephano, Taeja and HerO (not necessarily calling them favorite then). Then, we'll be able to see how it goes...

That is one big bomb for EG.

I wonder if this will snowball into more and more KeSPA players leaving their teams for the freedom of not being under well, KeSPA.

But to the rest of kespa? I dont really think so. Its hard to say where most of these guys are with sc2 yet. Judging Jaedong from his first game as EG, thats not really fair because of how ridiculous that push is, especially on ohana. Jaedong did just qualify for Code A by going through the qualifiers, thats nothing to sneeze at. I'd say he is progressing well.

On what exactly do you base your predictions? What results from the Proleague players overshadow those of the TL-EG players enough to think that they would struggle to make it in the playoff?

Yeah indeed. KT Rolster did beat EG-TL easily but tbh. EG-TL was lacking their top player HerO, Stephano and Taeja and if i'm correct EG-TL did not really have time to prepare well for this match because they just came to Korea. I don't say that EG-TL would have won KT Rolster if they had all the players for this match but it would have helped.
And i don't really see EG-TL going to lose all their matches.

And that JD has won many tournaments (literally over 350k worth of winnings)? Yeah thought so. I don't manage his money obviously, but I can't imagine him having substantial expenses.
