So many terrans.
|
I think world stands a good chance. Life is the biggest threat.
|
|
the korean lineup can be described with one word: slump. No player is at his peak right now, while several of them are in a deep slump. So I really expect a 3-2 for the international lineup. Life and Seed will take the points for korea, the rest goes to the world.
|
Think the koreans take it tho, if only for the fact the international team seems to be pretty good at vT, wich there are none of in the korean team.

If Nerchios wins it will go 3-1 to Korea. Otherwise 3-0.

where are the terrans

All the foreigners got really good maps. I can see Nerchio/Stephano almost being favorites in their matches, and it's not too unlikely Scarlett can pull off a ZvZ win or Naniwa can win a PvZ on Entombed.
|
Seed > LucifroN dongraegu < Scarlett Squirtle < Nerchio Life > Naniwa MC < Stephano
foreigners will win 3-2.
|
Looks like they set up the maps and matchups to give foreigners the best chance in round 1.

Nerchio and Stephano got probably best chances at taking a game, especially Stephano versus MC. The rest of the foreigners got pretty hard ones. Poor Nani got probably the hardest, can't see anyone in this team taking down ST_Life!

To be fair, it is easier for the top Koreans to go into the slump because the skill gap is so small between the top 50 koreans compare top 50 foreigners.
Stephano has recent loses to Snute, fraer, Taeja (slumping Korean)
Naniwa to monchi, HerO, Thorzain, Nightend
Scarlett to Heart, SoO
Lucifron to Sting, Grubby
Nerchio to monchi, Taeja (slumping Korean)
People say DRG is in a slump, but his loses have been to Creator, Rain, Ryung. Anyway you look at it, these loses are 'better' compare to the foreigners. If any of the Koreans had loses to the list above, they would have been labeled to be in a 'slump' as well. So I think both sides are in a 'slump'.
Having said that, the world team definitely have a shot but I still think the korean team are favorites.

How is Life in any kind of slump? He lost vs Soulkey in GSL and vs GuMiho in GSTL, otherwise he has won everything left and right. I'd say he's in the best form he will ever be.
I kinda agree with your prediction, allthough both MC and Squirtle could win their matches. Would be nice to have match 5 matter!
