Well if you look at Gom WC history it was super close last year and that was when nobody had any hope for the foreigners and the Korean team seemed unbeatable. The foreign team wasn't perfect and the korean pretty much was, this time it seems the other way around so I think it's ok to have high hopes this time. Going to be close either way, but never a 5-0 (all maps are played).

i cant believe players are calling life slumping
how can you slump if you won the gsl like a month ago, lol
i think he would be slumping if he had convincingly lost more than a few recent series than he already has
|
Only one terran? This is unfortunate. Lucifron is the one who I would have represent us ^_^
|
Why oh why is it only one series for each? Shouldn't it be a round robin so The World plays all the Koreans rather than just one each at random? Kinda takes the "Championship" feel out of it when it's just one game. I think it'd make it a lot closer...
Anyway, I'm hoping for good games but I think it'll be 4-1 to the Koreans.

3-2 World. Naniwa won't win, and the other lose will be just random so that's why 3-2. Stephano should win over MC just because he can. If you give time to prepare for Lucifron and Nerchio they can beat anyone. Nerchio's PvZ looks just great right now, the only problem is he often loses his first game and it's bo1. Scarlett is one fire, and her ZvZ is just too good right now. But I can't see Naniwa winning his game, not in PvZ. I would swich Lucifron and Naniwa.

It's the angry koreans vs the happy foreigners! Go happy people!

what the fuck is that thing next to Lucifron's name?
|
Well of course there are no Korean terrans when Mvp dropped out. There's only room for one person on the terran throne, and King JJ is a ruthless leader.

lol, nani at only 14% in the poll... how low he has fallen.
also, glad to see scarlett in this... though the hype has died down a bit, I hope she is able to show good games.

Is there some sort of price money involved? Otherwise I fear we might end up with a bunch of half-hearted games... :-/

lol I was thinking the same thing. Kid shoryukens his way through like, everything, and just happens to get figured out by one guy in the GSL and booted to Code A. I would bet several parts of my anatomy that he won't be there for long, either.
Gogo Life!

I wouldn't say that him losing to the most recent GSL champion in his worst matchup is falling very far at all, in fact I would give him pretty even odds against all three of the Korean Protosses.

Foreigners always want to beat Koreans, and this Korean team would have quite a lot of egg on their face were they to fall.
I anticipate no lack of effort from either side.

So apparently Liquid's player manager Robin "Bumblebee" Nymann is going to be the World Team coach? I hope he prepared for this and did not play DotA2 all the time.

My thoughts too, but I could see another upset or two as only Life has shown strong play lately.
