I took my Chinese up to a new level. every week, whenever I'm not committing time to mechanics in Starcraft, I'm studying up on a song to learn. This one is fairly new, I think. But it's a slow-paced song and I wanted to learn it. I learned new grammar patterns and words from memorizing it as well. When I can really learn to sing Jay Chou, then I will feel like a total boss / badass.
I did this for the lulz, I was actually expecting some people to hate it, but it actually turns out that a lot of my Chinese friends here in America who saw me singing it, as well as some of my Taiwan-based fans, really enjoyed it. Scored some new subscribers on youtube as well... holy cow.
to many, this will sound like total crap to say the least, as most users here are not Chinese-speakers.
I also found that it's a good way to relax.
In other news, I'm happy to say that I have not had a cigarette since last weekend. But I do use my electronic cigarette at times.
I have huge respect for people learning different kinds of languages. Heads up. I must admit I don't like the singing, but if it helps you and you can relax while doing it, haters gonna hate ! Keep it up!
