Sorry Demuslim.
Who's with me? Considering that his suspension ends by November, your movement is completely pointless. Not to mention the fact that the only reason why EG even suspended their best player was because SRS decided to be the internet police again. Nothing new, just another reason why I am losing faith in humanity.

How many overblown dramas do we have to go through before the people who should be the most heavily invested in this get it? It's just getting stupid. I get that a lot of them are still kids, but come on. We're beyond a lack of common sense here.

Personally, I'm having a hard time feeling sorry for a guy for getting suspended for a month who is still going to make more money in a year than I will in the next 5.
Also, reddit is a terrible, terrible place.
Best of luck Stephano when you return to competition in November. EG did what they had to do. It's simply business.

Just an overabundance of pitchforking from /r/starcraft. They blew this story up, then were generous enough to hand the list of sponsors over to SRS. Wouldn't be the first time, well done guys.

To the members of this community that consider his comments fine, funny and ok - you need to wake up and get your ass back into the real world.
Oh, and Idra calling someone a "faggot" is nowhere near the same planet as this. Idiots.
You are entitled to do as you wish of course, but contacting the sponsors is not really going to help EG. Do you object to EG's handling of this issue? Are you asking for more stringent punishment?

I can't believe so many of the people here are having trouble accepting EG's actions. It doesn't matter if it was a private conversation or not, BECAUSE IT GOT OUT. Look, I'm all for public figures having the right to their privacy, but that doesn't mean whatever gets out is blanketed because it was originally private. That's the burden and responsibility of being in the limelight. People will give shit about you ALL the time. Whether Stephano was just guilty of making a tasteless joke and stupidly not checking whether it was being streamed or not, or he was being serious and was stupid enough to not check, EG has to punish him, if for his stupidity alone.

Curious how this applies to a progamer. Not taking sides, but I wonder if, since playing the game is his job, his statement would be considered something he did while at work. Seems like a bit of a gray area.

The thing with stephano is that it was a tasteless joke, with Idra it is pure anger and rage. Its all about the intentions.

Stefano suspended for a politically incorrect joke?
Isn't Tasteless on EG as well?
How about his jokes? Their total and utter stupidity (while being repeated a hundred times in a few minutes) offend our dignity as human beings a lot more than Stefano's comments

So, public figures deserve the scrutiny and having their lives judged by random people because of the fact that they are public figures. Makes sense! Who said it made sense? It's just how it is. And as public figures, you should be fully aware of the fact that people will scrutinise EVERYTHING you do. It's an occupational hazard.

I don't think Stephano is going to contest this in court anyway so its irrelevant.
But I don't see how it would be a gray area tbh. He private messaged somebody, and this person was the one who shared the messages. Now I don't blame bling at all, but I don't see how stephano should be punished for a private message. The only exception would be if he knew bling was streaming before he messaged him, therefore there was no expectation of privacy.

Who's with me?
Few if any. Few really care of Stephano is reinstated before November and no one is going to hold off buying anything because they took him off the roster for being really stupid. EG will still one of the best teams out there and Stephano will be back in 18 days.

The catch-22 of e-sports, the BEST players usually are young, but the best players usually ARE young. Its no secret that young people aren't the most mature...combine that with throwing a pile of money at them. Recipe for disaster.

IMO this is is just pathetic pseudo-professionalism out of EG; a rebranding of censorist bullshit with laudable context as a would-be justification. The guy has a sense of humor. That kind of talk is completely regular among my friends and I. I'm actually stunned that your team (and you of all teams) is "cracking down" on THIS. You guys are usually completely awesome and I love a lot of your players, but this is a pile of shit. Extremely disappointed in the way he has been treated over this, just so that you can sate some unfounded paranoia while trying to pick up points with these herpaderp community members that are chiming in with the triple reactor fac produced response to this matter which is now replete throughout this thread; "dats harsh but i gues it had 2 b done gj".
K, having expressed that, I'm over it. Still like your team. But plz no more of this absolute bullshit. Although I do find it extremely plausible that this really is just a PR stunt where stephano doesn't give two shits ab out attending those th ings anywaya (kr t raining) and you guys wanted to cook up some drama and keep the chatter on EG shit. That would be aa pretty depraved although typically human level to take things to.
So close to wearing a tin foil hat atm. Must go find my brain.

Logic kids. Its not what he said, its that we heard him say it. Once everyone hears it, you can't ignore it.

oh, ok, I didn't know that.....
and, hmmm, Tasteless too cool? Actually I think he's not a bad guy, but he's also the dorkiest dork who ever lived.. he looks like he's in his twenties but he still talks like he's 7 or 8 dude..... I really don't think the words "Cool" and "Tasteless" belong in the same sentence

wouldn't be so sure. Only other thing with EG I really watched was EGMC and occasionally Idra's stream.
So to be fair I guess you could say that I'm not really going to be boycotting EG or anything EG related any more than I normally would. But truth is when Stephano is playing in something I watch. When he isn't, I could care less about the EG members. Not that I think they are bad guys or anything, I just don't care about their gameplay. With Stephano, I do.

We all say nasty shit to our buddies. I feel like EG could've shrugged it off and it would've been forgotten two days later.
But I guess they wanted to blow it up and expose the story even more so that they drown in bad PR and have to suspend their key player from competing, seems like a good move!

Yeah, cool is the wrong word. Majestic. Now that's the word we were looking for...
Tasteless realized long ago he was too Majestic for EG and left. Majestic.
