[Z] Infestor: Pathogen glands only adds 25 starting energy, but cost as much as an Infestor (150 /150). 25 Energy takes 45s to regen, Pathogen Glands takes 80s to research. Consider what you would like more within the next 80s; Infestors to start with 75e or an extra Infestor with 67e 80s after being started. (#34) In my opinion the focus needs to be on build time instead of cost when considering pathogen glands. Here's my breakdown: As mentioned, the time it takes to build up 25 energy in SC 2 is: ~ 44.4 seconds = 25 / 0.5625 (regen rate/sec) Initial round of Infestors x Infestors with 75 starting energy = 80s (30s pathogen glands + 50s infestor build time) x +1 Infestors with 75 energy = 94s (50s build time + 44s regen time) Subsequent Infestors x Infestors with 75 starting energy = 50s x +1 Infestors with 75 energy = 94s (50s build time + 44s regen time) If having one more infestor sounds favorable in the initial round of creating infestors, consider that every infestor you make after the initial round of infestors will still essentially have a build time of 95s (assuming they're worthless w/o energy for FG) vs 50s. In conclusion, never forgo pathogen glands first. This tip should be removed.

You can still steal the gas if its blocked by a opponents worker, by moving out of vision range of the geyser before giving the command.

608 i guess. In tvp when you do your classic 10 min push with two mecivacs and stim, you can bring your factory and place it on the top of the main ramp. If he did a semi wall with a gate, you can complete the wall like this http://imgur.com/bESRB and snipe his first nexus for example http://imgur.com/FSWlt. If he just put a pylon, you can pust the factory near it and be really cost efficient because every single of his units will climb one by one the ramp and will be killed easily by your high dps bio. If their aren't any buildings just put it in the middle top of the ramp , it will absorb some of your oppenent attacks and slows his army.

(TvX) When a worker is queued to do something following the building of a structure, clicking 'Halt' will result in the SCV performing the next action in its queue. It might be useful against Zerg when building a structure to block the natural, you can queue where you want the SCV to run, perhaps even a mineral trick to flee, ahead of time and the SCV will do it automatically as soon as you halt production before the building is finished. Maybe also usable for partial buildings to form a wall.

this tip is for XvT, i thought it worked well. if you have time when dropping at PF expantion, just drop one unit at a time into the SCV line (works better with a well saturated line) as the PF kills one unit at a time it will do splash to his own scvs. worked great at getting like 6 kills for 2 rines from my drop ship. has this been said b4?

I don't think that works, at least it doesn't in unit test map :/

However, I'll try to update this week(end?), it's especially important to remove out-patched material. I'm amazed by all the great tips, it seems this thread could indeed reach ONE THOUSAND Starcraft II tips, which would be amazing!
