It becomes pretty random there and players might fall out that are considered to be top 16 by most people, but not top 6-7.
I think there are 2 solutions for that:
1) Only choose 14 players from the vote and have an open tournament for the other 2 spots. 2) Have an "elimination-style" vote: Invite the player with the most votes every day and remove him from the list, then restart the vote. This way people can vote for the 13th seed, 14th seed etc. and it will make the vote more exciting imo.
except you didn't read the OP.
the top 16 players voted by the SC2 audience will ALL compete for four spots out of the 7.

Btw, who the hell is this Pink player in EU poll ? oO

So my picks were: Scarlett, Major, Nerchio, Sortof and Lucifron. SortOf is bad at ZvT. That's not good against Koreans. His ZvT shouldn't be as good as Vortix's but is his ZvT really that bad atm?
Compare their last three months.
SortOf: 16 - 19 (45.71%), trades games with foreigners, loses decisively against every Korean
VortiX: 21-15: (58.33%), beats most foreigners, beats some Koreans, loses narrowly to others, loses decisively to MVP
Nerchio: 44 - 15 (74.58%), beats almost every foreigner and Korean, loses to MVP.

Thank you. Let us vote for the top 16, if that's what actually matters, not for our own top three.

He made it to the finals of a TSL4 qualifier. That's all he ever did. A reason why sorting by ELO is stupid.

???
The top three European qualifiers will move on to join the World All Stars, and the top two NA/SA/SEA qualifiers will join as well making a total of seven players.
+Stephano/Naniwa = 7 spots
I think you should read the op...or my post.

Except there are several other players who you could vote for that have done more than her. Moonglade and Sen, amongst them.
Seriously, she won two NA competitions and beat Hero once in a cross server game. Let's slow down the hype train.

The more I think about the more I realise Idra deserve a spot even if he isn't the best player in NA. The impact he have had on the NA scene is staggering and yes he is slumping right now and there is better players but when Idra was on top of his game he brought in so many fans to the scene and it should be rewarded.

I suspect Team America (er. . .Team World) will be Team Zerg.

That's a good start, now read my post again.

NA: IdrA, Scarlett
EU: Grubby, Nerchio, ThorzaiN
I picked people that should be able to compete, not just fan favorites. It pained me to go Nerchio over Ret as a fan but can't argue with recent success.
edit: totally forgot about LucifroN.. I might have picked him over recent thorzain. :E

Scarlett and Sen seem to be the best players in the NA poll.
|
EU: Voted for Vortix and Lucifron based on their performance at WCS, and Nerchio based on recently just being very good.
NA: Voted Vibe and Scarlett based on being national champions and top 2 at the NA WCS. Although I didn't realize Sen was on the poll, if so I'd have voted Sen over Vibe.

Voted for my favs instead of most skilled
Ret, TLO, White Ra
Ostojiy Sen

Looking at the poll I think it's going to be IdrA + Scarlett for NA.
|
This might sound naive, but why dont make a qualifier with all instead of only 16 of them? Does your coverage require a format of 16 players? Adds a nice touch to it so that it isn't a populary contest. Or are you scared somebody unpopular gets in...? (if that is the reason that would be sad)
Edit: Also I don't get confirmation for the vote, it just redisplays the vote, is that normal?

Its incredible hard to pick an EU line-up. Terrans you got Thorzain/Lucifron/Kas and even though Kas dont got the same success as the other 2 atm I feel he should be there. Zergs, Vortix/Nerchio its a no brainer. And for protoss Mana,Titan,Sase and Grubby.
My picks would be Lucifron,Nerchio,Mana
