Compliments brighten up a day

StateofReverie United States633 Posts September 07 2012 05:15 GMT #1 I was just given a compliment that absolutely brightened up my day, and pretty much made the whole day because its 1:13 right now so technically its a new day. I want to make a person's day like how mine was made. I think brightening up someones day is something that is free and easy to do, yet something that I almost never do. Well now I am going to try for 1 a day and see how it goes from there.

I had just gotten out of an internship meeting thing that was required, was hungry, went to Carl's Jr. drive through. Cute girl said that I looked cute. The rest of the day turned out better than expected.

It was rather emptier than usual, and there was an old lady sitting right in front of me. I smiled at her for no reason and say "hi" for no reason either, and she smiled the most beautiful smile back at me. Then, there were some dudes biking and visible from the window, so I also waved "hi" at them and they seemed to notice and waved "hi" back at me. Saying "hi" to random people and smiling at them is really great, especially when you get it back in return. I don't know why I was so happy on that bus, probably (most likely) something I smoked 2 hours beforehand...
