I don't see a way for Vibe to take two bo3 off her. Maybe one, he's a very good ZvZ player, but Scarlett is better. Why are the semi finals and finals BO3? I mean, I am ok with it earlier in the bracket. But in the semifinals it should be a best of five. Remember that this is still a qualifier for the main tournament. All the players in the semis and finals are already qualified.

How many games did Idra need to win to take out Vibe? he needed 2, but i think vibe needs to beat scarlet in two best of threes and scarlet only needs to win one

If scarlett 2-0s vibe by transitive property of skill theognis is the no.2 NA player as the only player to take a map off scarlett in all of NA.

My Safari has had no problems. Last event I got black screen once after a commercial break and just refreshed to fix...

Yeah he needed to win one BO3 against Vibe, and then win two BO3s against Scarlett.

Has it been discussed in the elephant thread about Idra and the foreigners? In theory, Idra should be decisively dominating the foreign scene, based on his BW relative accomplishments and korean training. But this doesn't exactly happen - he's a good foreigner, not dominant. How does that fit with the elephant theory's assumptions for bw->sc2 transitions? he was the best foreign player in 2010 and early 2011 (dunno if troll question or not) Indeed, the point is that he lost his dominance. Doesn't this mean even very dominant players from BW would eventually end up "just good" among the others in sc2?

It's your last game though... wouldn't you at least try an all in. Anything can happen. Seems silly not to try. Its not his last game tho, he has to play in the MLG tournament right after this. He might as well prepare for this instead of dragging on a lost game.
He said he was forced to play MLG and was focusing on WCS. He doesn't want to play the MLG games so in his mind it probably was his last game. The money for him to win was in WCS not MLG.

Really glad that IdrA placed at least Top 3. WCS US vs Canada champion finals is GREAT (Oh, CANADA)!
Also, Huk vs Ivnadaviking on Premium 2 stream RIGHT NOW (OWR5)

Every match is Bo3. In the final, ViBE will need to win two matches (it's a pure double elimination tournament).

Day 9 looks pretty satisfied. And Idra looks not like hes motivated...

Oh my goodness, it's my birthday (in Korean time) :O

Well, he placed 3rd of the WCS NA, and that's his best result in a long long long long time, and I wasnt expecting more than a top 3 WCS finish at all, but maybe it was my expectations that were too low :p Ah shit sorry I'm stupid thisi WCS USA right? Lol I thought he just got thrown out of MLG :D It was more important than MLG because here he actually had a chance to win some decent money.
MLG has a bigger prizepool and better payout for every position than WCS NA, although the competition is much tougher, everyone who is entered has the chance to win the money. But yeah, WCS NA was a much better chance for the cash.

Yeah, best of 3 is not really acceptable in a semi finals for finals, double elimination or not. I would prefer a best of 5 since so much it on the line.

Even if Idra only has ~20% equity to win that game, giving up is beyond terrible given the fact he was fighting for a spot in the final

I don't think much of Huk as of late. Dunno what happened to him. Seeing Naniwa as the foreign protoss hope really messed up his head I guess.
