So I loaded up a TvZ on his computer (He has his own internet) after getting his approval on "Humans vs. alien swarm" as a theme, between IdrA and Puma, casted by Husky. I explained what was going on, with a 20-second lecture on economy vs. army, told him about the units, and injected some of my passion into the game, and at the end of the game, he told me:
"If I ever make fun of you for playing Starcraft again, tell me to fuck off!" (He only makes fun of me as a joke, it's not really mocking.) Now, not only does he want to watch another, but he's thinking of trying to get it installed on his computer.
I love Starcraft. Seeing him enthralled by the units and how they fought, and all the shit that was going on, he was constantly saying how he understood why I spent hours playing it. He sees why people get passionate about this game, and it was just awesome to watch that unfold. So thank you IdrA, Puma, and Husky (Especially for a golden moment in the game when we both just said "OH MY GOD" at exactly the same time, which was hilarious.) for such a great game. You may soon have a new convert in the Bronze league
Starcraft is awesome.
