I like watched three episodes, just for the sake of awesome, but still I don't get it. Like it was just some ponies doing some pony stuff, saving the pony world from the evil pony queen, lol. Seemed like semi so bad its good, but still I'm not sure if its just bad...
Could some of you fellow bronies explain to me what is up with this show.

There's also the titanic MLP thread in General. The OP of that has an archive of quality posts. I can assure you that most of those linked posts are worth the read, having written one or two of them myself!
I'm not sure if my contest-winning essay on why I liked MLP was ever linked, but it's from early November 2011 and is buried somewhere in there, too.
GM's linked post is very good at explaining lots of fundamental reasons why the show is good, too.

Oh wow GMarshal, I just read through your post in its entirety...and while I'm personally not a huge fan of the series and don't really follow it...just wow. Fantastic write-up there, much more respect to the show as well :')

The reactions that it prompts from people :p

Nice blog. (I'm talking to GMarshal )

Assuming you watched the main story arc first episodes, thats the backround story. Afterwards, it becomes a lovable sitcom like scrubs for me. But then again, I only watched 18 episodes total(though all in one day)

I checked GMarshal's link, and I believe it may be all the convincing you need. It's not uncommon for people to just not enjoy it, in which case it's not your thing (what? People enjoy different things?!), but I for one find it awesome as explained in aforementioned link.

The show's main draw for me is the characters and their development. As you get to know them, you really start to get an enjoyment out of watching them interact with one another and with interesting circumstances. I mean, it's kind of like Friends, Seinfeld, or any other sitcom, really.
That being said, to be honest, the first few episodes didn't really grab me. At first, I only watched it 'cuz I really liked Fluttershy (reminded me of a good friend), but my interest shifted pretty dramatically to Pinkie Pie and became the main reason why I watch the show. The other "d'awww" moments became bonus for me. All in all, it's a very cute show with an awesomely funny character for me.

It's quite divisive it seems :p

It's the cloppers that really knkow what's special about my little ponies.

I tried watching but some of those horses speak some obnoxiously high pitched English. The immersion stopped there. I can't do this to myself. Even if the writing is excellent (and I'm not saying it is), I still don't understand how adults put up with the setting and the barbie-ish voice acting that just screeches in your ears.
I maintain that many bronies just like the cuteness, and some of them in more questionable ways than others. =) As a kid I totally wanted to hump Rei from NGE, that's fine.

Good question. Next question.

They are all so cute, and plus some girls like it, so its another topic point u can talk to then about that alone should be enough, lol THINK ABOUT THE GIRLS =)

It's a likable show but I don't like the disturbing amount of rule 34 it spawns.
