25 Feb, MLG Winter Area, Winners Semis Parting makes waves at his first overseas event, beating DongRaeGu and MC before getting smashed 2-0 by Marineking. He then loses the next game despite an extended series advantage.
28 Feb, IPL TAC2, Winners Semis Parting comes out as his team's sniper for Marineking. He goes for his trademark gateway-nexus-nexus, followed by two forges and a robotics bay. Marineking just walks over and kills him, and then kills the rest of his team.
25 Mar, MLG Winter Championship, Winners Semis Parting faces Marineking in the winners semis for the third time in a row. He finally manages to take a game off Marineking, but loses the match, and again exits the tournament the very next match.
7 Apr, GSTL Season 1, Final Parting had a sizeable lead before the infamous timeout; in the replay, both players went exactly the same strategy with Marineking coming out on top. Again, Marineking goes on to kill the rest of Startale.
20 Apr, MLG Spring Arena 1, Round Robin In the opening match of the tournament, Parting loses the first two games against Marineking, before winning the dead rubber. He ends up in 7th place in an 8-player tournament.
25 Apr, GSL Season 2, Round of 16 Having had an extra day of rest due to not making the playoffs at MLG, and with Marineking visibly tired, Parting finally takes a series after a poorly timed medivac loadup. Afterwards, Parting gets overconfident and announes he'll take home the trophy, then gets stomped by MVP.
3 Jun, KSL Team League, Final Parting comes out with Marineking on a roll. He doesn't achieve much, and yet again the rest of his team go down with him.
12 Jun, GSL Season 3, Round of 32 After a convincing loss in the first game, Parting gets lucky in the second when Marineking twice gives up a large advantage. The third game goes to a base trade, and Marineking doesn't lose base trades.
Overall results: Marineking 7, Parting 1. And playing against Marineking always makes Parting (and the rest of his team) lose immediately afterwards.

Between Parting's SC2 Korean and SC2 International TLPDs (sourced below in spoilers), he has only 5 wins but 15 losses against MKP.
As much as Parting is known for his great PvT, I'd hardly call that a rivalry. 25% win record out of 20 tournament games isn't good.

I'd say MKP is partings highest wall to climb but I agree that I wouldn't call this a rivalry. Still interesting to see how many times MKP has stopped Parting though.
Maybe Keen will become the first player to win 5 GSL Titles now that NaDa is out of his way. lol

MKP isn't parting's rival, for one to be one's rival one must first be equals. MKP eats parting for breakfast atm.

I would say it's a rivalry because of the quality of games they produce.
Either PartinG or Squirtle is the best PvTer atm, and I'm leaning towards Squirtle. MarineKing is the best TvPer atm, I don't think this is disputed.
When the best PvTer battles the best TvPer and they produce epic games, I consider it a rivalry. Even if the results say one thing, the games say another.
Besides, PartinG's PvT is a roflstomp against players not named MarineKing and Mvp (who is immune to everything...). MarineKing's TvP rolls over other protosses and his TvP is, quite frankly, boring unless it's against PartinG. Then, MarineKing and PartinG collide and produce amazing clashes which exhibit their skill. Yes, MarineKing is better than PartinG (imo) and this is reflected in the record, but PartinG makes it close. Usually.

How can you say that Squirtle has a better PvT than Parting?

Kinda like Polt bio play may be better than MKP's but MKP's play is better to watch.
edit: Also, why not a MKP vs Startale rivalry thread?

Parting's been pretty overhyped for ages, like so many new Protoss players. Nobody knows Protoss like MC, regardless of how much people want a new hero. The only legitimate contender at the moment is Squirtle, and his glorious streak seems to have ended a little bit.
