Roaches tend to clump up and can be easily soften by banes to be killed by lings. I doubt he had time to control everything perfectly. Its hard as hell to withstand 1-base ling/bane all-in.

And he lost his queens because they were in the wrong position. They were not blocking the ramp at all. You don't need roaches to hold off 14/14 baneling all-in, you do need to play smart.

He had an chance to detonate on two queens though and took it.

Can't believe IdrA lost that game though :[ Because the BIG NAME American players are no longer the best American players, and haven't been for a while. This is what happens when you value celebrity over skill. We need less invite only shit and more open tournaments to show this. Some of America's best are not even on a fucking team.

But aside from him, only NonY and IdrA are former top NA. The rest is upcoming who confirms (Illusion, State, Gowser, Perfect, theognis, Ranged and Hawk) or more unknown players (Suppy, daisuki, Mystik, HelloKitty, Insur, fitzyhere). The NA is still weaker than the EU one by far but these new guys are the lifeline of SC2. Should they all fail in the long run, it would be disastrous for everyone else.

There is no really good way for lower NA players to rise up. There needs to be more qualifiers, less invites in tournaments. There needs to be more NA only tournaments like WCS is. This would help to really make the NA scene more interesting.
