I didn't find deconduo! I actually had him pegged as Serial Killer when you shot him, not mafia. And hiro protagonist is the one who found zelblade, not me. Also, Sentinel kinda gave himself away. I didn't really have that much to do with it. risk.nuke worked through the logic much faster than I did. That being said, I apologize to the town. I didn't play as well as I wanted to play this game, specifically starting during day 1 and for the rest of the game after that. I promise I'll be better next time.

I was very happy you got me as a mason buddy marv. I was one of the people who had submitted a mason pick, then saw that sandroba wanted it so changed my pick and I really like the role as well. As you guessed, I was obviously suspicious of you to begin with, but when Sentinel flipped scum after you were leaning risk and I gave you the choice of who to pick, that pretty much sealed in my mind that you were town. That and the fact that you kept initiating conversations with me and using me as your soundboard, it was really obvious to me. I do regret not making it more clear in the thread how sure I was that you were town. I understand completely what Palmar means by scumhunting with emotions. That's how Sentinel was such an easy push for me. The people who were unsure weren't online at the time that it all took place, but it seemed as though he was backed into a corner and was starting to grasp at straws. Toad, sorry about that lynch. You really pissed me off though by trying to make me sound like an idiot when you were defending yourself. If you're town, you don't need to do that. Just address the points brought up and if they're logical you can convince the people pushing you that you are town. Qatol's calling out of PaqMan was obviously the most ridiculous play this game. I hope to see more scumhunting like that, and I definitely aspire to be able to do that some day. As for my politician pick, here were my thoughts: Being so low, I could either try for a town role, any of which I figured would already be picked, or I could try to pick a role which could be fun to use if I got and could confirm a scum role if I didn't. I figured that a politician in town hands was a lot more useful than people were making it seem like and I had confidence in my ability to use it near the end of the game if I needed to. The only other choice for me that really would have fit what I was looking for would have been copycat, and I regret not trying for that one. I figured the chances of getting that were too low. I really just wanted any role so picked one that would be unlikely to be picked, but if it was picked already would have been picked by scum.

In the end truthfully I wasn't feeling confident on zelblade either after I died but as Mattchew said, there was to much time not to second guess and go paranoid. I guess this game needs to end in a draw. 1 thing I still have a problem with was the turning my vig-shot into a lynch and cancelling the day. I can understand that something might be done since the host messed up. The mafia benefited greatly from that trade which you could really see in the lategame when we had less information to scumhunt with. Then on top of that you also took away our vig shot. I have a theory about this and that is that chaoser purposefully favored the scum more then neccersary and more then was fair because the scumteam had lost 3/4 of their team and was loosing badly. This is unacceptable. The mods can't be allowed for any reason to interfere in the game and rebalance it or give a side more or less help depending on how good or bad their position is.

Edit: to elaborate, if paq hadn't died, he would have been that days lynch 100% there is no arguing this. If paq was town, and hadn't died, he would not have been that days lynch. Therefore you have to treat the two situations differently.

I obviously flipped town. I have decided I will never, ever play PYP games again though. I have never been lynched before. Not as mafia and not as town and the instant I sign up for both PYP games I get lynched in both. This kind of game seems to be cursed :p

The person died and flipped. Bringing him back is not an option. You fail to realize him dying was a town benefit then... You also fail to realize that you were basically confirmed town (and vig) and qatol was confirmed jk... The amount of benefits given to through this mistake far outweighed The missing of 1 lynch

If the person you shot was town I would have done the same thing. Your shot would not have been returned. Regardless of all that though, town gained a huge advantage from the mistake and mafia did not "greatly" benefit from it as much as you think. On the other hand, I am disappointed in other players, specifically Mattchew and sandroba. Mattchew, it felt like you weren't putting in the effort necessary to play well during the whole game. You impressed me with the shot on deconduo (though I still think you should have saved it for day 2), but the rest of your game really left me feeling let down. I actually had you as a scum read going into day 1 because I thought you would be a lot more active in the discussion (which is one reason I challenged the conception that you were "confirmed" because of your shot - the other reason being because I come from an era where we actually had truly confirmed townies and PM circles, so the term means something different to me). And after that, it felt like you were relying on other people to make your arguments/do your analysis for you. I was hoping to see you make a few strong cases yourself. Sandroba, the reason I was disappointed in your play was because you had a reputation of being a decent player, but it felt like you put little to no effort into this game until very late. I realize that you were busy playing diablo, but this game had a waiting list, some of whom didn't get into the game at all, and I think you shouldn't have taken up a spot in the game if you weren't going to play it seriously. It isn't like you didn't know diablo would be coming out. Also, it frustrated me a ton that you accused Barundar of playing against his win condition when you came very close to doing the same thing with the way you played this game on cruise control. I was serious about not playing as well as I wanted to. I really should have pushed Barundar over hiro protagonist (I didn't look into the posting behavior as thoroughly as I should have) and I should have caught onto zelblade much sooner. I even had zelblade on my short list for scum before day 1 started but I went against my reads because of the whole role thing. Also, I provided a major distraction during day 1 with the PaqMan thing, and nearly split the vote resulting in a no lynch. Thankfully Snarfs was around to keep us on track. Oh well, something to think about when going forward. By the way, mafia/Barundar: why didn't you shoot me earlier? Were you afraid of a defensive role? If so, why no shot on night 2 (after I roleclaimed) or night 3 (after the medic was dead)? Radfield, GMarshal, Ver, and I were all very surprised that I survived as long as I did, especially with a protection role.
